Actually, if you go into Fasterfox's settings and customize them yourself (after reading the little text below each setting), you can increase the page loading by quite a bit. For instance, you should increase the DNS Cache Expiration. And then tweak the connections, pipelining, and tweak the rendering of pages. I've toyed with it quite a bit and pages sometimes load way faster than Camino (with pipelining turned on) and it runs fine on my computer - which is an 800MHz PowerPC iMac G4 with 768MB of RAM running OS 10.4.7.
