My apologies, I believe it was as far back as 10.3, not 10.4 for the other app I described.

Also, forgot to rate the app.

Very nice. This isn't the first time a 3rd party developer has stepped up to the aid of the Mac community for this. I remember also that the Icon Factory released an app that would check the integrity of a downloaded file when launched (which has since been implemented into the Finder since 10.4.3(?) I believe). Kudos to the dev!

Since this program claims it simply activates Fast User Switching, why not go to System Prefs-->Accounts-->Login Options and check the box to enable it, which then puts an icon in the menubar and has the option to go to the Login Window?

I'm not knocking the developer, but I didn't see any difference between this app and what I have enabled already.

This is actually a very good program at scrapbooking. Very easy to use with good support from the developers if you have a question or 2. Overall, not a bad product for the price.

Or, go to File-->Export Bookmarks to backup, then File-->Import Bookmarks to restore.

Ah, thanks for clearing it up. Just glad I wasn't the only one confused on the pricing scheme :)

So I'm officially confused. It's listed here and on their website for $29.95, I understand that. But when I go their home page for this, in the title bar it clearly states: Free AntiVirus for Mac. I took a screenshot in case they change it, but as of right now, it still says that.

Another vote for Skim. It's free, and can do alot more than the built-in Preview app already included with OS X.

I never thought about the "Delayed..." issue. Thanks for clearing that up!

Works as advertised. Slow on a PPC machine, but this is on an 867MHz PowerBook so that's expected. No problems yet.

"If the Open XML File Format Converter for Mac is installed, this update enables Office 2004 for Mac to read and write Office documents that are in the Open XML Format."

This actually works on my PowerBook G4 that still has Office 2004 installed. Nice!

I applaud the developer from creating something like this; however, this isn't too much different than having the Time Machine icon in the menubar and clicking on it. Good job though!

Fantastic plug-in, well worth the $20. Glad to see the developer still supporting it, and the Mac!

It's a shame that with Leopard, you have to do a little digging just to use this. Just look at the screenshot and you'll see what I mean.

It works, so I can't complain. It's useless like everyone else commented, but with large hard drives, what's 50MB?

I think the price is a bit steep for what it does, but it looks like another solid product from this company!

And for the original author, as the MacUpdate Admin politely implied, do your research before complaining.

First, they have A/V for corporate users only. YAWN. Next thing you know, they'll announce IE 8 for Mac, but you have to buy the "pro" version to get standards support.

Go Adium!

The best keeps getting better. I really do hope there can be a mobile version of this for the iPhone, as long as the iPhone supports background processes.

Who complains about buying a web browser from a company that has supported OS X from the PUBLIC BETA days, and even when OS X was OpenStep and NextStep?

The price has even gone down by 50% (was $29.95 for awhile).

So, for the "Firefox is free" crowd, stick with it. It's good to have alternatives, regardless of price. I'm glad to own a license for this browser.

Well if you read the blog of the developers, you would see that video/audio is coming, but not until 2.0, and they even outline the reasons why it's not possible right now. If you think you can add support, why not donate your time and contribute code, since it is open source?

Before you praise this "developer", read these articles about how he treats his customers.

Holy crap. I will send a screenshot if needed. When I go to About Yahoo Messenger, I get 98855. Yes, Get Info on the app reveals 98006. Sorry.

I have to add, the build I downloaded is indeed 98855. Perhaps Yahoo fixed this silently?

Works as advertised. Don't care about the build number as long as it works. Thanks! Now, just get this out of beta :)

I agree. Running 10.5.2, I am unable to create a new term. If I uncheck the box, I get to the main window but the app freezes everytime I try to create a new term. Deleting prefs or reinstalling the program do not work. Such a shame, I loved this app when I was using 10.4!

Will not start on 17" iMac Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM. Interesting note, the crash log mentions wrong architecture? Trying to open in Rosetta gives the same result.

I'm sorry, $15.95/month plus the cost of postage does not fly with me, when I can use PayPal's multi-shipping feature or the USPS site for free, just pay the cost of shipping.

icon

Yes, that is because Netscape is not a Universal app, meaning it launches in Rosetta. Shocker here....so does the PDF plugin. Therefore, this plugin is not native to Universal apps unless we force them to open using Rosetta, which is kinda the point about wanting a Universal version of this plugin.

If you can't use the 802.11n features until you get the Airport Extreme, why get angry over the enabler not being available to you ahead of time?

Works fine for me, and always had since it first came out. Must be error between keyboard and chair. Oh, and I'm not affiliated with the developer at all, so keep that in mind before you flame me. It's amazing how people's stupidity causes them to blame someone else because they can't fault themselves.

Not that everyone knows, but he has a blog and from the beginning, he said that it would no longer be freeware due to the time consumed in making the app. Same can be said for the other apps, esp. Newsfire which he said from day 1 it would be a shareware app.

I also have been using this for a number of years and cannot live without it. The developer is very active with this app and is always improving on it.
