TIJEJ  I don't recommend turning off Apple's Dock.

A-Dock is NOT a replacement for Apple's Dock. I've never claimed it was. It's just a complimentary dock with some different features.

A-Dock cannot emulate some of the features Apple's Dock provides, which I cannot live without : windows minimization, desktop background customization....

So you'll probably understand I'll never provide any built-in way to disable Apple's Dock.

TIJEJ  Although Smell-O-Mints is nice, it doesn't offer all the functions you have in Elements.

Smell-O-Mints offers only basic information on elements (Class, state, radioactive...).

Elements is way better. If offers a lot of information, has a nice graph mode, a mass calculator, a comparator, a bohr diagram display. And all that in a very nice GUI.

It's not free, but cheap for the number of features you get.

TIJEJ  This software is stucked in the Mac OS 9 ages.

If you want a modern periodic table (not free, but quite cheap : $10), check out Elements from Digital Science.

TIJEJ  I'm quite surprised with the bad reviews for this software.

Honestly, I've tried all the GUI apps to handle my mySQL database.

This one is fast, reliable and nice. What more do you want ?

A bit expensive though if you (as I) only need mySQL connectivity. But all in all a very nice program.
