It seems that this program is no longer under development seeing that it was last updated in 2006 and the dev's website no longer exists (at the time of writing).

I have been using this program for about 5 months now trying to catalog over 120+ discs worth of data compiled over the years (photos and video mainly).

It's simple to use, open the program and index your media and it's saved in the sidebar for viewing later without the media inserted.

What it lacks is the ability to renamed create a hierarchy of multiple sessions for one disc. As of this (old outdated) version, you have to catalog each session individually.

It also doesn't show any thumbnails of any of the files after indexing, which would be a great feature.

One major flaw is that it is unstable with my 120+ volumes. Numerous occasions the program has unexpectedly quit when indexing losing all the data that was indexed in that session.

All and all, with the lack of any updates since 2006 and abandonment of the website, I would not recommend this software.

With this useful app I am now able to convert other .flv files downloaded from other sites than YouTube.

TubeTV can convert the files into a playable and seek-able format that iTunes and QuickTime can handle.

Zinio seems to have updated their app to v2.3 and compiled it as a UB:

I like the idea of being able to read my magazines in a digital form on my MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, because of the lack of development for this app there are couple of problems:

1. CPU intensive when running the download manager. Uses 100% of CPU when downloading a digital mag. Also, for those on Intel machines, this app has not been compiled as a UB.

2. This is not Leopard compatible. Will not open any old or new mags. As most of the reviewers have stated, obtaining support is futile.

At this point, this software is useless to me.

From the Dev's site:

System requirements

Apple MacBook or MacBook Pro

OS X 10.4 or higher

Quicktime 7.1.3 or higher

Note iAlertU may work on other Apple Macs but this has not been tested.

Basically this works with any Mac with a motion sensor (portables). I've also installed this on an iMac CD and enabled iAlertU with the remote.

This was my #1 utility program on my PPC Mac. Now I have a Intel Mac and unfortunately this app hasn't been compiled as an UB and doesn't work on Intel.

I've given up and now using OnyX which does everything I need to keep my Mac running smoothly.

Light, fast, and stores all my notes. I wanted to dl this for my new mbp but unfortunately, the server that hosts the file is down.

You're running on an Intel Mac. This update is for PPC based Macs.
