OnyX	Jan 26 2006	TENKDAY i've been using onyx for years and never encountered a problem, but today when i ran it, it got to "verifying and repairing permissions" and the progress bar completely stopped moving. i'm afraid to force quit because i don't want to screw up my computer by quitting something like this half way through... can anyone help? (Version 1.6.7)		0

BILLY RAY VALENTINE Force quitting should be fine, won't cause any problems. This probably happened due to OnyX losing communication with diskutil.

So although diskutil finished the repair permissions, OnyX wasn't notified somehow.
