TASTYAPPS  Hello Akrobat !

This is Tim over at TastyApps....

Leopard threw us a curve ball with this latest OS update and we had to fix/patch WiFind - so it *should* work great now on the latest release of Leopard.

If you are still having issues, head on over to our site and let us know. We'll totally take care of you !

TASTYAPPS  So for people reading this thread, here is what happened. This individual emailed me 3 times - in 1 day (the day before he posted to this thread). For the record - i *did* respond to him within 24 hours from his first email, but due to the time zone difference i didn't see his email until i woke up.

It baffles me how some people don't think that within 24/48 hours is a good response time. Some companies take weeks to reply i clear my inbox every day, or every other day.

Again for the record... His paypal payment was "uncleared" probably as a result of an invalid card or expiry date. Ultimately we never were notified of the purchase... so his problem is with Paypal... not us.

Please note... i do care a great deal about people's perception of me and my company. I listen, i respond and i try to help everyone that has a problem or needs a question answered. Luckily 99% of people don't have any problems... usually the problems that occur (like this one) are user errors... or other such problems out of my control. And ordinarily i am understanding, kind and helpful. But not when i'm being yelled at, and not when people are rude.

Now, i have asked him to chime in and apologize for unjustly defaming me and my company... let's see if he is a big enough man.

TASTYAPPS  I'm a developer from tastyapps - first please notice that i am very active on these threads responding to *every* support issue.

I respond to all emails that i receive and 95% of our customers are thrilled... it completely puzzles me why every now and then i get a user like SICD - i can only imagine that he is not getting my responses due to them going in his Spam filter or some such.

It just hurts when you do your very best and people (on occasion) seem to see it fit to arbitrarily attack someone's professionalism or work ethic.

Now, mr SCID - please check your spam / bulk mail - more then likely i have responded to you. Our license emails are sent out immediately upon purchase. If you did not get an email, either your credit card is out of date (check with paypal to see if your payment is pending) or it has gone to your spam bin. If you find it there, or my responses to you i would love an apology (no hard feelings)

-Tim

TASTYAPPS  Yes, but as you may have noticed... PDFs produced by this method do not really look like the original page. Red Snapper captures the pages exactly as they appear.

TASTYAPPS  Upgrades for point releases (.2, .3, .4, etc.) are always free. Simply use the personalized download link that was in your purchase confirmation email, and you'll receive and installer for the latest version... currently 1.4

TASTYAPPS  All of our products work well on Safari 3.0, since we've had early access to it through our developer membership with Apple and tested it quite thoroughly. The same can not be said for many other plugins, however, and they will sometimes cause ours not to load. I'd recommend that you remove all other plugins, and add them back one at a time until you find the one that's causing this problem.

They can typically be found in the following locations on both your boot volume and in your home folder:

Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins

Library/InputManagers

If you need any help with this, we're here. :)

TASTYAPPS  To those of you who downloaded Beta 14 on the morning of Friday, May 4th (EST)... Our ISP performed unscheduled maintenance that caused the installer/download to become corrupted, preventing FLVR from working properly once installed. This has now been corrected.

We apologize for the inconvenience and confusion caused.

TASTYAPPS  Want to uninstall FLVR?

It's simple. Locate "FLVR.bundle" with Spotlight, move it to the Trash and restart Safari. Done. :)

TASTYAPPS  for one simple reason, bud. nobody donates.

for example... we built a little widget (flappie) that received over 300,000 downloads. it was featured on apple's site for three weeks. it was in their top ten for two and a half months. it's *still* in active use by over 30,000 people (on this very day.) by all measures, it was a smashing success.

can you guess how many kind souls made donations since it was released ~3 months ago?

12. that's right, 12... and bless every one of them for it, but you simply cannot live on that.

TASTYAPPS  Software is a wonderful thing. It makes life easier (most of the time.)

That's what the FLVR is all about. I mean, sure. You *could* wait for every page to complete... then dig through the many, many files that make up the page in the activities window... and when you've finally found your treasure, run it through some codec (don't forget to look up all those *really* friendly command line options) and then, last, but not least, wipe the sweat from your brow and drop it onto iTunes.

Because that's exactly why you bought a mac. Right? ;)

TASTYAPPS  Hey, we took a look at those problems you were having... we just couldn't let that sit, so we pushed out a new beta that fixes the iTunes issues... and we updated/optimized the codec to boot!

Give it a try and tell us what you think.

TASTYAPPS  It's pretty obvious you haven't tried the 'Snapper. That's a shame, because it does some pretty cool things above and beyond what the limited builtin Print-To-PDF will do:

- You can save the page *exactly* the way you see it on the screen.

- You can save to different image formats (eleven, besides PDF at last count.)

- Our PDF files contain all of the active links from the page.

TASTYAPPS  Have you checked out our PDF feature? The PDFs we generate are quite small, the text is selectable, and they're quite scalable (especially handy if the captured information needs to be printed!)

TASTYAPPS  As you can see, we're still working the kinks out of our brand new site. :)

We're setting up a customer service link, but in the meantime we can be reached at: customer-service@tastyapps.com

As for your issue: If you could be more specific about your problem (os version, etc), we'd be glad to help you work through it.
