SWESTMORELAND  I am also having this problem. I'm on an Intel MacBook 13.3 w/ 10.4.8, 2.0GHZ, 1GB Ram. Camino v1.0.3.

When I save a file from Camino (download) it lags up and freezes the Finder. Force quit is not available and I just have to wait it out.. usually 20-30 seconds and everything is back to normal.

Have not yet found a solution but can confirm you are not the only case.
