as an application in general, i do feel that there are plenty of video players out there and not much of a reason why i would use this when nearly all the content is available online without much trouble to find (if i were actually looking for it).

but as a flash developer (having worked on video player apps) and a fan of adobe's air product, this is very well done and is a great example of what can be accomplished -- and in a very elegant way.

as for the comments about the installer and UI not being Mac-esc, it's not trying to be. if it were it would have been built in cocoa. i personally like the player design a lot and my only issue is more of with air in that on mac the app has no drop shadow.

but otherwise, adobe, well done!!!

EXCELLENT update! Just tried an example of the HD video in full-screen -- AMAZING.

And the improvements for image scaling and Flex frameworks is equally valuable.

Thanks Adobe!

I've been using the beta as it's evolved, and the features added to v1.0 are so good that I will never use any other other IM product.

Very well done and thoughtout. Great job!

Nicely done, but I wish it was a little bigger (or had the option on the back to make it bigger)...say actual size and if the scrollbar had a bigger hit area. Right now 80% of the time I try to click and drag to scroll I end up moving the widget instead.

been using this for the past week, and it's very clear that they seriously thought thru the interaction model and making all the technical details (that torrent apps usually get caught up in) not the user's problem without leaving them out. for example, when you search for something, it automatically searches the good sites and makes it as easy as clicking a 'download' button next to each result rather than bogging you down in which site (like most people really know the difference) etc.

great app. hope it keeps getting better. as a beta it has crashed on me a couple times and there are some things like dragging torrents into the main area that would be nice, but i'm sure those will come with time.

thanks!

great app that shows so many nice details of what's going on with the torrents you're downloading/uploading.
