STEFANOG  Aperture 2 creates a Tiff file that you can retouch. it does not retouch the original file. Works a bit like iPhoto!

the new LR 2.0 beta has localized retouching tools that work with the original file and write the changes to the metadata.

the retouching tools of Aperture are a bit like editing a copy of the file with an external application and stacking the 2 files together.

STEFANOG  you can customize it with GrApple and it will look good. it has great functionalities and the next version will be in Cocoa.

I hate of safari that you can close a window with a bunch of opened tabs with no warnings.

Firefox is more than good for me.

STEFANOG  I think I may switch to Camino.

with Camitools I can save the session with all the tabs. that was one of the main reasons to use FF. I am undecided though...I like some extensions. and the GrApple Brazil theme...

will check which browser uses less memory/cpu

STEFANOG  you can use a GrApple theme like Brazil to make the FF buttons like Safari and use Firefoxy to make it look more Mac-like.

SuperDuper!
Jun 13 2006

STEFANOG  as much as I found SuperDuper nice I wanted the Archive function [it is easier to lose important files by distraction and personal mistakes than for hardware failure]. I went for Synk 5.2 that has a less polished interface but has a few more options for a little less $$.

I was indecided - as each application had some advantages over the other.
