Wow, that's a lot better! Much smoother scrolling and Window resizing. Starts up much quicker too! Now it feels more like Safari, but of course with a different rendering engine. :) |

I know WoW also requires a lot of time, but I call myself a fairly casual player (with a few monthly "breaks" here and there) and I still think I can enjoy WoW even if I don't have "all purple" gear. It's easy to get into and the battle grounds make it easy for a quick "game in game". I really want to try EVE (and probably will when I think I have time) but still it feels a bit too complicated. But I guess that's also (as people has been sayiing) what makes it good. |

I guess it's a problem with 10.5.2 and/or with graphics drivers, but on my MacBook Pro, before even starting a race the game locked up (horrible music still playing...) and I couldn't move the mouse. Force quit didn't work. Could log in with SSH and tried to kill the the Jammin' Racer process. That didn't help except for that the music stopped. NVChannel(GL): Graphics channel timeout!" in the log. Apple; please fix. It's 2008 and I don't want to force restart my computer anymore. :) |

Isn't comparing EVE to WoW a bit like comparing apples and oranges? Sure, they're both MMORPG's, but quite different still, no? Why does everything have to be compared all the time. Why choose one thing when one can have all? :) |

FileZilla!? Are you crazy? ;) No, but seriously - that must be one of the most ugly "un-Mac" FTP application ever. I may be that it works well in Windows and on Mac OS X too, but if there's one application there's almost "too many" of it's FTP programs. Yummy FTP, Transmit, Interarchy, Flow, Captain FTP, Fetch, Vicomsoft FTP Client, Cute FTP and of course Cyberduck (I'm sure I forgot some..). All of those look a lot better and I'm quite sure they can compete with FileZilla in features and functionality. Sorry FileZilla guys, but you have to make a far more pretty GUI to convince me and many of the Mac users out there. :) |

For Windows there's a version with "Premium Graphics Content": "The same game software as Classic, plus the Premium Graphics Content for all ships, stations and stargates." Mac and Linux users can't currently download this it seems. :( I guess there aren't any affordable graphics cards for the Mac that are capable to run the game with that detail anyway... >:( I'm tired of being a "second class citizen" when it comes to gaming just because I prefer the Mac OS. Apple: do something! :) |

I'm very well aware of this, but in this case it didn't work (and I waited a long time). Even the Dock was stalled and I couldn't start Activity Monitor as that would also stall. |

I can say that it Office 2008 yesterday (before the update) made *all* apps stop responding when I tried to open a new or quit one that was running. The beachball "disease" spread to other apps from Word 2008. I think TOURNESOL means when it comes to controlling Windows or any other non Mac OS X computer. Chicken definitely seem faster for me there too. |

Yesterday I got a Kernel Panic when trying to connect... :( It's the first time this happens though, and I've been using it quite frequently. It's not the most beautiful program, but it has been working fine. I'm on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.5.1. |

Impressive. This game manages to *TOTALLY FREEZE* my MacBook Pro when loading the first level. Can't force quit with Cmd + option/alt + esc. Have to force shut down the computer by holding down the power button. Feels like I'm using a Commodore 64 or something... but hey! It's 2007 and I'm on Mac OS X! It would be better if the games freezing power was used to re-freeze the melting arctics. :P |

I don't have any problems with the menus looking the way they do now. I think the look is more clean without the stripes. The menus look "3D" enough to me because of the drop shadow. However I agree that it'd bee cool to be able to customize the looks of the menus. People have different taste and preferences. :) |

I quickly noticed that Shiira 2.0 scrolls smoother than the current version of Safari. How can this be? Try both browsers by scrolling the main MacUpdate page up and down with the browser window covering the enire screen. |

The "GoogleDesktopDae" daemon every other five soconds eat about 30% to 50% processing power on the MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2, 3 Ghz with 2 GB RAM I have. Fans start to make noise. Is it indexing perhaps? Think I will remove it for now... |

This release is wickedly awesome! The corners for windows in QuickTime Player look good and also the selection in the Finder side bar can be nice and gray, just the way I want. :) Makes iTunes look great too. Graphite everywhere makes those important things like pictures, videos and icons stand out from the GUI. Donation coming! :) |

Cool! Love the smoothness of OpenGL scrolling. :) Now if it only could display PDF-files and if the cursor would hide after a while in full screen mode it'd be even better. |

Awesome! Much better than the current set of icons for Smultron. To be picky I do think the seeds on the Smultron are a bit too red though. Should be more green/yellowish. =) |

There seem to be some issues with Parallels and the MacPro. I think they will fix it though... Just hang in there. :) |

Hmm... I'm also running 10.4.7 and it has never crashed. Does it work better if you run the app in another user account? Have you tried trashing prefs. etc.? |

Well, I like Safari best. Firefox feels too much like a Windows app. Heck — it even feels better on Windows. It's mostly the buttons and pop-up menus that look feel different. They are best in Safari then Camino and lastly Firefox. In my opinion that is. =) |

I've mailed Proteron and asked about this and there was a reason for them not implementing it. I mean the icon status and badges for Mail, Adium etc. |

For me the audio is laggy and doesn't play smoothly in QuickTime Player with this codec installed. Video is fine though. Both audio and video is just fine in VLC. Why is this? |

I suggest trashing the preference files for VLC by trashing the VLC folder in *home*—>Library—>Preferences. |

I just wonder; when will Mac gamers get the awesome 3D sound that Windows gamers enjoy in Blizzard's and other companies games? It's quite a big difference than the "standard" stereo that's used in most Mac games. |

I tried again, and when it was started and had never been used in any application it took about 9,5 MB RAM on my machine with a total of 640 MB RAM. I then did the "open" command in TextEdit and then Default Folder grabbed a total of about 17 MB. Funny if it stays around 9 MB all the time for you. Funny but good. For you. :) |

It eats about 22 MB of memory on my machine. I think that's a bit sad. |

I would also suggest trying Tiger Cache Cleaner's "Deep cleaning" option which has solved strange issues with Mac OS X severeal times where I work. I never need to use it on my own computer but I guess those at machines at work doesn't get the love they deserve. =) |

I went to the home page to check out some screen shots. Instead of seeing Mac OS X screen shots all I got was horrible Windows screens. They hurt my eyes... I guess I have to download it and try. If I dare... :) |
