i love this app. we really get our money's worth at my job where we work with thousands of customer files, and i use it all the time at home renaming photos in batch. at this price it's worth checking out. looking forward to version 8! |

a friend told me about Path Finder a few weeks ago, but i never got the chance to have a look at it. seeing it here at a substantial discount will definitely get me to try it! |

maybe people would pay $15 for this...but $25? are you serious? not trying to be a hater; i'm just incredulous. it's not even an attractive presentation...the UI is just awful. if you just want random quotes on your Mac, search on MacUpdate for "ifortune" or "macfortune"...or "Lonesome Electric Chicken." there are a LOT of quotes in this app, and the fact that you can pull them out by speaker/author is great, but holy moley. get help reworking the interface from someone who left Mac OS 9 back in 2001. |

i can't vouch for speed increases with this application; i think your mileage may vary depending on your existing connection. if you're looking solely for a speed boost, this may not be for you. however, this app has been indispensable for managing downloads...i love the ability to resume downloads and drop in a list of URLs to download. i like having the control of directing each download to its destination, rather than having to move it manually. for me, this is truly a download "manager" as far as organizing my downloads. |

you may need a piece of software called Gordon for that. you can find it here on MU. |

i'd have to agree with bdlatimer. Mail's buggy enough for me as it is...i'd hate to rely on it for my chat transcripts. i'd take a standalone app any day over integration with Apple Mail. |

does Compress or Stuffit Expander or the built-in Mac OS X zip utility allow you to browse the contents of archives (including .pkg files), extract individual files, update archives and clean for UNIX/Windows users? sorry, i must have missed those features. if you only work with zip files casually then this probably isn't for you...but for someone who has to work with exchanging files constantly between hundreds of clients, this tool is a bargain. |

this screen saver runs pretty well on an 800 MHz eMac. the music is...interesting...personally i'll end up turning it off (i prefer quiet screen savers). and if i could tweak anything, i would make the textures a little darker and more "dingy" looking on the edges to help conceal the simplicity of the models. still...it's really, really cool. i may just have to pay for this. :) |

i was looking for a to-do list that could sync with my Palm-based PDA, and i evaluated this program for a day. my conclusions: 1. i didn't need the "life manager" aspects. just an outliner or to-do list app to sync between my Mac and PDA. 2. Mac/Palm/Conduit bundle = $80. way, way too expensive, especially for my needs. 3. outliner/to-do feature far less robust than other options. i ended up purchasing Shadow Plan. while the desktop edition is not nearly as Mac-like as Life Balance, it had the most powerful to-do list features on both desktop and Palm apps, and it was far, far less expensive. |
