Type: CommentsDate: 28 Feb 2006 12:44um...so have you tried searching for AAPL in a search engine to see if it backs up your claim? apple.com doesn't show up for the keyword search AAPL on google. No surprise there - that's its ticker symbol - how much do you see apple posting their ticker symbol on their site?

Type: ReviewDate: 28 Feb 2006 12:33I'm rating this 5 stars as it relates to the competition -- though it does have some issues. I would love to see more interest in this app.
Webranx is one of the only keyword trackers on the mac. Your only other option (that I know of) to track multiple search engines is Advanced Web Ranking -- a klutzy, interface-confused, but advanced, java app that starts at $59.
Webranx is free -- but I wish it were $15 to $20 and seeing very active development. It's a great app for the independent web developer. I use it to give keyword feedback to clients.
But we need
-fewer crashes
-exportable data (If I could supply my clients w/ an excel spreadsheet or just a nice graph, that'd be swell)
-the ability to update all keywords at once (many, many mouse clicks required in this app)
-the ability to add multiple keywords at once
It has lovely graphs, it's a beautiful interface, I love that it keeps a history, that you can add multiple sites, etc. If they keep at it, they've got this market on the mac.

Type: ReviewDate: 29 Jan 2006 16:43I have not yet bought, but am enjoying Yojimbo quite a lot. I've tried these types of applications before (stickybrain, etc), but though this has a few fewer features, it feels far more responsive and attuned to the way I work --
The upshot is that I keep opening it, and keep putting data into it, whereas I've thrown out the others because I get frustrated with them.
The F8 quick insert window is very handy, and the .Mac integration means my data is on all my machines. Very nice.
There are only two features that I currently wish were in this app:
Search summary: I wish that like stickybrain a portion of the contents of the search results were summarized showing you whats in each note.
Alarms: I'd like to set alarms on a few notes.
A few other suggestions -- integration with ical might be interesting. Also - I use ibiz as a freelancer to invoice/timetrack clients. If there were a way to tie this app into that it'd be a dream - so I guess that would be address book integration.
All in all, this feels like an app that'll make it into my dock, and a really solid product for a 1.0 version. Can't wait to see what 2.0 is like.
