SIMON17  Those are good points and I don't dispute any of that, I just don't feel that it's sneaky, nor is it true that they targeted MacZOT customers, who even if they upgraded ($20 +$20) would still come out ahead of other customers who bought at the same time ($40 + $20).

SIMON17  I acquired it through MacZOT as well, the $20 upgrade fee is not targeted at MacZOT buyers, it applies to everyone who purchased it more that sixty days ago. Buying it new is $40.

Not sure if the upgrade is worth it to me personally but I have no complaints with the developers' ethics.

SIMON17  If you change the Type and Creator code of files to Quicktime it will work for anything that Quicktime can play. With Perian installed, that's just about anything.
