SHERLOCKBONES  If you've updated iTunes any time after making those changes you can blame iTunes for reconnecting to the store.

SHERLOCKBONES  Leopard Cache Cleaner aka Tiger Cache Cleaner allows you to install and maintain the latest iteration of clamav and update the definitions as well as set it to automagically scan specific folders for viruses.

All in all it does that very nicely, lets you set a schedule and does a host of other maintenance actions as well. If you have to buy something I'd buy that.. wait I already did!
