SHADYMAC Absolutely brilliant, after finally getting it to work, thanks to the developer who took the time to help out and provide some pointers was very fast with the support too! I will be definitely making a donation when I get paid next week! This is something I need since I have some visual impairment this app makes things smooth and easier to read, I highly recommend it works pretty fast and alerts me to emails immediately! Thanks to dev for the support, much appreciated! (Version 1.1)

DivX Plus Web Player | Nov 7 2009 |
SHADYMAC About time, I liked using divx in the early days thought it had great potential still does. But every time you download just to use its web player you have get the whole bundle which is the biggest annoyance. Glad now they have worked on a web player, it s simply brilliant. So far it seems to be able to work just fine, the previous divx were really slow, these days with flash files all over the place or flv's divx needs to be fast when streaming! I use Perian for most movies and it does the job beautifully, but I am glad to see this web player version finally! (Version 2.0b)

doubleTwist | Nov 7 2009 |
SHADYMAC This was a good app I did use it here and there but I noticed when drag and dropping files on to my phone the app copies over folders thus when the phone player is trying to play music it can not, simply because of the folders, you have to select a folder open it and then play a song file! Is there a way to simply select the song from itunes and just have that song file rather than its folder? Also due to itunes DRM protection or whatever some songs were not transferred over but when I dragged the files into the phone without using doubletwist it does it without any problems. I now have decided not use this app unfortunately was a good app when it worked. My phone by the way is a Nokia 6700 classic! (Version 1.0b13)

SHADYMAC Simply amazing!!! It is blazingly fast at the moment, the previous version was sluggish but this one seems to sped things up, well done Mozilla! Keep up the good work! (Version 3.5.5)

Folx Downloader | Oct 4 2009 |
SHADYMAC AS the last poster points out folx has this major issue of "hijacking" links and downloading without authorization I found out today it downloaded 2 songs from whatever site I visited even though I did not want to download those songs!!! I am fed up with folx hijacking links what if it downloads a virus next time, I suggest the developer remove this automated function of downloading automatically or capturing downloads it severely eats into my speeds and renders my internet usage nil. And despite disabling the functions in Firefox, on the folx icon deleting the folx add ons it still attempts to dictate downloads. The developers need to get it into their head we decide what to download not the software. I no longer recommend folx and now think your better off with speed download instead. As it does not leave bits of files around and does not hijack as much links, and has the courtesy to ask if you want to download a file or not!!!! (Version 0.9.365.366)

MacVideoTunes | Sep 21 2009 |
SHADYMAC Absolutely a must have! For any mac user or recently converted mac user, like myself. The one thing I badly missed from the Windows side is the ability for a simple player to play multiple video files in one single go! WMV managed this with ease its baffling why apple can't manage this at all! It was doable in Leopard but Snow leapord seems a step back, until I found this app. Simply mind spinningingly brilliant. It took away the headache, the fuss and displeasure of watching each clip independently it makes Apple look stupid in fact for not having something like this integrated into the "world's most advanced operating system"! A million thanks to the developer, an amazing job. I like the easy of import, the icon for easy ID and the number one thing the ability to play multiple files from one single place! (Version 1.0)

SHADYMAC I'm sorry I am not so tech savy but as I understand it, its merely some sort of front end downloading app, if that's the case is that not what many browsers have built in? My criticism in the face of other downloading apps is this app is still quite limited as others have a multitude of actions. But again most browsers including firefox have similar download managers bilt in as I am using one! (Version 1.02)

SHADYMAC What was the point of this app? It was simple and nicely done however I didn't notice any changes from firefox's own download manager built in! It has potential if it only increased the downloads or something which it didn't it was normal just like firefox's d manager. (Version 1.0)

ARCHAEOGEEK And when your downloads blow up because the browser crashes, you'll be annoyed, whereas if my browser crashes, I'll be glad the downloads were in get. (Version 1.02)

Folx Downloader | Jul 23 2009 |
SHADYMAC I really liked this app, firstly it was free and secondly it was fast, seriously fast downing 500mb files in under 30-40 mins on a 2mps line! However drawbacks are the interface it is seriously ugly, if the developer could do it cocoa that would beautiful! Another thing I noticed was the app refuses to shut down when i do not want to use it for downloads. It tries to catch everything as a download, shutting me out from sites on occasions. The folx add on for firefox is th problem, it was so bad I have had to uninstall it I do hope the dev can fix sme of these issues it would be nice to see this app compete against "speed download" and keep it free as well! Downplane | Jul 23 2009 |
SHADYMAC Ok I tried this out it has great potential as it downloaded a near 500mb file in under 20 mins - no kidding! But drawbacks are no download time, no measure of how much was downloaded or how fast. This is the drawback. If the developer can add these features this would be a heavy competitor to all the other download managers/accelerators! (Version 1.0)
