SBDAIGO  There is a check box in the pref’s that says “Alert On Public Event Deletion” in the General tab - this is what we use and it at least gives a warning.

SBDAIGO  I have been using Now for a long time, since v3. I read the comments others write and I wonder sometimes if we are using the same application.

I know that Now has had its struggles with moving to OS X, but applications that relied so heavily on the things Apple changed (menu bar, daemons, etc) have made it really really hard on a few applications that I have depended on. And just when they get a work around .... Apple changes it again - just ask Unsanity and even Chronos with their PIM for Mac.

For a PIM, this is the most robust one out there. Finished .... No, moving in the right direction ... Yes. The way it does categories for sharing, there is none out there like it, it really is great.

Also, my alarms are right on since v5.1, so I don’t know what the other comments mean.

SBDAIGO  Hey, I think this app is great. I can understand the reading of different servers would be a plus - but that is not what this app is designed to do (maybe in the future).

It is funny how people flame stuff so fast. MS Entourage has taken years to read GAL - and they wrote the server software and had the code - and it still doesn’t work right, what do they say the problem is ... Apple and OS X. They too promise sync services, again the problem .. Of course - they say Apple. Is it “BAD” software, no - it just seems that it has taken all software companies longer to get things working.

I also know that there is a lot of talk about New Chronos SOHO organizer, people telling Now that they better get things moving or else - but there again, the web site says quote, “Chronos To Soon Release SOHO Organizer and SOHO Note” .... The post ... June 15, 2005! I don’t know about you but that is not soon, especially in the software industry.

It just seems too easy to criticize.

Now 5.1 is a HUGE step in the right direction. For our company it is an invaluable piece of software. I believe that it will get better and better.

By the way, NO, I don’t work for now, but I did leave the app for awhile, but in the end, there is nothing like it - IMHO - I just believe in it and a few other companies I think are doing a great job for me.
