SAMUEL222  Nice app, although it does not seem to capture anything. It is a downloader.

Try to capture anything on yahoo, say, at http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/stations/charts/

It would say you "No streams found", although all of them are streams!

There are a lot of downloaders, but I don't use any: Because with Safari it is

easy to download any video which is downloaded to your disk anyway, like

from youTube. I don't know free apps for mac which can really capture a

video stream from web.

SAMUEL222  This app looks attractive. It gave me some recommendations, but I wonder how

to make use of them. I have no idea how to configure the better DNS.

NAOH  You can either configure it under System Preferences (In Network) or if you use a broadband router you can configure it in there.

SAMUEL222   TO THREEDEE912:

The default in my case is maximum 200 connections, but usually I have no more than

30-40. So the problem seems to be in something different.

Transmission

SAMUEL222  I love this app, the download is quite fast.

The only annoying thing is that using only part of my bandwidth (say, 1/5),

it nevertheless does not allow me to download anything else. In other words,

when transmission is working, I can see that it uses only a small part of

my bandwidth. But, at that time my internet connection is essentially paralyzed.

My computer: MacBook Snow Leopard OS.

::MILE::  Same here...and it's been like that as long as I can think back with previous versions of Transmission and even on different computers...!! :(

So there's clearly something wrong with the way the app uses bandwidth because it simply disables all other net activity when running, no matter how much (or how little) bandwidth I actually allocate to it...!

FinderPop
Sep 27 2009

SAMUEL222  I love FindePop, but... I switched to Snow Leopard. Version 2.2.2 does work with

32 bit apps, but finder is now 64. So, you can see your FinderPop clicking on the

menu bar, but if not finder is acting, but, say, Safari. This makes this wonderful

app useless, at least for me, because I can put any my app's to the Doc.

Well, let us wait until FinderPop works for 64 bit apps.
