Type: ReviewDate: 7 May 2008 05:01Well, I liked this app and I even purchased it many months ago. Unfortunately, I lost my license file in the midst of moving into a new computer. I've been emailing the developer for several months now trying to get another copy of my license, with no response ever. What a jerk. There's nothing worse than software with no support whatsoever.

Type: ReviewDate: 27 Apr 2008 15:43This is really slick (truly Mac-like), and surprisingly easy to use. The setup is so so so easy that I thought something was missing at first. I love this one. The price is not bad if you look at the competition, which sometimes involves annual fees.

Type: CommentsDate: 6 Mar 2008 14:30Me too, I'm coming back to iGetter due to the super-sleazy behavior by the Speed Download people. I refuse to continue support for a company like that. iGetter is polished, Mac-like and nice to use, I don't know why I ever stopped using it... .

Type: CommentsDate: 2 Mar 2008 17:03The name lacks creativity, like you said, and the cop image that loads with the files is frightening, but the app actually works well, and isn't ugly, although it's not a very Mac like UI.
If this company wants to appeal to Apple users I think they'll need to add the sophisticated, open-minded and creative aspect that many Apple users demand. And you're right, the "macho" image especially won't appeal to the large population of female Apple users. And most men will find it a bit stupid.
I changed the name and some graphics on my personal copy, now it looks less embarrassing.
As for the app itself, I would like to see some keyboard shortcuts and an "Open Recent" menu item.

Type: ReviewDate: 6 Feb 2008 18:09After buying the Pro version and trying a few mailings, I am very impressed. It's now so easy and so fun to make a great quality mailing with reliable tracking information, I just can't wait to make my next one. I bought a 7,000 (well, 4,000 have emails) name list from FreshLists, which you can export from their FileMaker self-running database, and import into Address Book or directly into Direct Mail in less than 30 seconds. And I don't work for Direct Mail, I'm just very impressed by their life-changing product. The price might seem a bit high at first, but after you try it the cost seems well worth it.

Type: CommentsDate: 3 Jan 2008 21:27Looks pretty, but it's funny: the first WARNING I received while running it was for something called "Avast!.app"!!! So far it's only about 1/3rd of the way through its ritual, and so far that's the only warning... .
Hope that's not a bad sign; it would be nice to find a good app like this since at some point in the future we'll need this...

Type: CommentsDate: 20 Dec 2007 19:23Sometimes you can double-click to install Stationary, but this one didn't work. I had to follow these path directions, but mine didn't work correctly until I put the file in an "Xmas" folder at the end... .

Type: ReviewDate: 17 Dec 2007 14:06Wow, I thought the last version was great. This new one is even greater, more useful, more beautiful. Also, integrates with dialog boxes more smoothly and more reliably... .

Type: CommentsDate: 27 Nov 2007 14:14This seems cleaner, easier than iClip. Might have to buy this one.

Type: ReviewDate: 7 Nov 2007 09:55Hot bookmark and web organizer app; once you get it set up, you can't live without it!
Needs a button to close the drawer, like the other reviewer said below...

Type: ReviewDate: 2 Nov 2007 17:10One of the more ingenious, useful, and fun apps I've seen. Really unique. I hope the purchase with Yep deal includes previous owners (and not just new purchasers) since I've owned Yep for awhile now.

Type: ReviewDate: 8 Sep 2007 20:50I've been using this for a few months, and it just keeps getting better. One of the most workable, attractive and intuitive organizers I've tried. Very unusal app for Mac, but is clean and clear and easy to use.

Type: ReviewDate: 21 Aug 2007 12:05Makes a great and simple quick-access utility for keeping items available that you need to use soon. I own Yojimbo, too, which I love, but is so packed with things and features for long-term keeping that it doesn't have the same uses. I really like this one and look forward to seeing where it goes.

Type: CommentsDate: 30 Jul 2007 09:09Must be a cool app to get good reviews and have a relatively high price.
Discount is better than nearly $100, though. I'll have to download it and try it... .

Type: CommentsDate: 25 Jun 2007 13:54I've been comparing apps with Podcast functions, and this looks like the best one by a mile. The price is a bit steep, but this MacUpdate Promo makes it a great buy.

Type: ReviewDate: 24 May 2007 23:16Amazing upgrade for an already amazing app, lots of under-the-hood fixes, and an even easier ability to implement advanced features. Plus the RW forums are some of the friendliest and most helpful on the internet, a real community of friends. I love it!

Type: ReviewDate: 10 May 2007 03:02I like this funny app, which also actually works. Never seen an app grow in version numbers so quickly, already at number 5. It does get alot of updates, though.

Type: CommentsDate: 18 Feb 2007 17:14Nice looking app. I like the way it categories contexts and due dates, and has a different approach to categorizing than the other gtd apps.
A few things I'd like to see changed:
If you view by context and all projects are selected on the left, you can't tell what project the action is associated with; for instance, I always have several ongoing photo jobs, and the first action after a shoot is to correct files. So, if don't write the client name in every action, I can't tell which client the action is associated with, so I don't know which job it is I'll be working on.
Wish there was an ability to link associated apps, files, and/or folders to the note column. For some reason few developers implement this feature.
Also, wish there was an archiving folder or feature to stash and save finished actions, and the ability to "disappear" them from due date lists.
I'm currently using EasyTask, which isn't great, but I love the ability to drag actions to new due dates and have them change dates automagically; that way I can drag all the actions I haven't finished at the end of a day to the next day without going through every single item. Of course, ET uses an action date and a due date, but it might be cleaner and simpler to only have a due date for each item like What ToDo has now.
I tried dragging items in the due date view, but it didn't seem to work. I wish the due dates didn't require a time-entry to be appled, enabling the possibility of an "all day" type of list when you select the due date view.
The bold headings, and the spacing, in the context views and due date views are extremely attractive; I wish the project view showed the top item in the same way.
I like the way you can drag and drop the actions and projects; that seems like an easy way to set priorities since there's no priority or color-labeling system.
This could easily evolve to one of the best gtd apps.

Type: ReviewDate: 8 Feb 2007 20:16If you like to keep your agenda in front of you, this is a great app. The glowing comments below are true, too. And, the developer is extremely personable and on top of keeping in touch with you regarding support issues.

We are currently experiencing major problems with our web host due to unexpected demand and server overload. We are working hard to fix the problem as fast as we can, but it may be a few weeks.
In the meantime, PLEASE DISCONTINUE USE OF WIMP. We will release a new version soon to fix this problem.
Thank you for your patience!

Type: CommentsDate: 20 Dec 2006 16:30Looks very nice but, in addition to the above comments, needs a fast key or service item to collect regular web addresses. I already like NewsFire for feeds, but this would be great for regular bookmarks. Also, is there a way to search by tags?

Type: CommentsDate: 15 Dec 2006 11:34Don’t miss this great deal on Mori, easily some the most ingenious and useful software ever made for Mac computers. Continual upgrades at users requests, and top-notch support help make this app hot. I paid the full price a few months ago, and Mori has since become my most used 3rd party app. If you try it, I’ll bet you’ll wonder how you ever lived without this one.

Type: ReviewDate: 28 Aug 2006 13:35Works great with lists such as rss feeds to MacUpdate, CraigsList, etc. A bit annoying and large when you don't need it and it keeps appearing (I think there's an option to disable it, though, just haven't used it yet). A truly unique utility, though. Wish there was a fast key to close it, and the ability to use download links without navigating to the actual page...

Type: CommentsDate: 19 Jul 2006 14:53I'm downloading this version in hopes of restoring my folders to their default icons. The last version Wouldn't let me restore no matter what tried, and I deleted every pref file, etc. associated. I even deleted the Apple prefs trying to restore.
Until this one wroks correctly, I'll stick with Folder Brander, which works great.

Type: CommentsDate: 14 Jul 2006 20:19Great and useful functions, just wish it didn't make LaunchBar so screwy. I decided to buy it anyway I like it so much, and it's only 1.0 so I'm sure there will be fixes soon...

Type: ReviewDate: 6 Jul 2006 13:26I agree, just keeps getting better and better, easily one of my favorite Mac apps. This is one of the few apps I use every day, and the beauty, stability and ease of use make this my favorite; I own licenses to many others, and I've checked out most of the competition, but this is the one I always return to.

Type: CommentsDate: 6 Jul 2006 13:21Weird seeing all these horrific comments. My copy of Fusion has never given me a problem in the months I've used it, and it's always worked fine doing what I need it to do. I don't use server fonts, just stored on my local hard-drive, so maybe that's why.
I'll keep an eye on it after reading these posts, though.

Type: ReviewDate: 4 May 2006 20:05Nice UI changes from the last version when it was an Extensis product, but not so different as to be confusing. Easily the best framing software. I agree that the price is a bit steep, but products orginating from Extensis have always been on the high side.
![]()
Type: CommentsDate: 13 Apr 2006 10:45Actual price is now $299, not $499, and purchasers of the original version get a $200 rebate good for purchases at the Apple Store!

Type: ReviewDate: 17 Mar 2006 12:50Well worth the money. This is professional grade noise reduction at its best. The amount of detail resolved with high levels of noise reduction is impressive. You can set your camera to high iso's like 1600 and still have usable images. Pro-level noise reduction costs money; for instance NoiseNinja costs about the same, and gives great results, but I personally find this one easier to use. Actually, each noise reducer has its own personality, and I have found that some images benefit from one over the other, but overall this is the one I use the most. There is other noise software on the market that costs far more than this, so this is not overpriced in comparison; the noise reduction in Aperture is bottom-of-the-barrel, and it costs $500. Free or cheap noise converters work to some extent, but lack the polish and features of the professional converters, and the ability to resolve detail in a faithful way. I highly recommend this one as a great choice for pros.

Type: ReviewDate: 11 Mar 2006 09:31I love this RapidWeaver plug-in. Password protects pages or sets of pages easier than anything else I've ever seen, plus can send stats on each visitor. Very cool, very reasonably priced.
![]()
Type: ReviewDate: 9 Mar 2006 17:32Takes RapidWeaver from the "best of" category to an even higher level. This one is created by the God of RapidWeaver plug-ins; all the plug-in and theme makers around the world working with RapidWeaver are one of the most creative and productive groups I've ever imagined. These are the people that make RapidWeaver extra-special.

Type: ReviewDate: 17 Feb 2006 09:13This new beta 3 is far more stable than the last two betas, and iCal Syncing now functions without deleting all your calendars. It even seems to play nicely by relaying ToDos to iCal and then to High Priority in the menu-bar. Most of the other bugs I had noticed are absent in this new version. I love the UI, the linking, the SmartFolders, and the iCal syncing. A very useful and very Mac-like app that's fun to use (and you don't have to worry about unintentionally erasing calendars anymore).
![]()
Type: CommentsDate: 24 Jan 2006 22:09Me again. Another warning about this beta, several users have lost all of their iCal calendars with this "alpha" like "beta."

Type: ReviewDate: 24 Jan 2006 21:52I've managed to pull better looking and more detailed images than I have from any other Raw converter, and I've tried them all. I've done side-by-side comparisons with ACR, and I can't tell you how much better Raw Developer files look, the difference is astonishing. I'm very pleased with my purchase, and love the fact that I am supporting a small "developer" who makes such great apps.
And, no, I don't work with or know this developer; I just love this stuff!
![]()
Type: CommentsDate: 7 Jan 2006 21:17Great design and features, but the beta 2 is so unstable that you can't use it for anything. Has a zillion serious bugs, maybe more. Anyway, this is potentially incredible software, but if you actually want to use it for anything, I'd wait for the next update...

Type: ReviewDate: 4 Jan 2006 22:53I've tried many database applications over the years, but this is the first that really works the way that I want; it's clean and intuitive ui make it a pleasure to work with. It's not a "design" type layout program like FileMaker, but is a more functional database with just enough extras like making a photo catalog with slide shows, etc. The easy-to-set-up calculator functions are a great asset, too; you can make quick and easy forms for business, taxes, etc. that seem to work flawlessly. Also, when I had a display problem, the developer was quick and responsive in helping me troubleshoot the problem. This is easily the ideal database app that I've been looking for, something that works well and is highly useful/flexible, but easy to use for someone who doesn't want to spend their life trying to set it up and learn to use it.
