ROBDUT As I said before, you would help us all by contacting me, the developer of backuplist, about these issues so i can resolve them. There have been a few cases of backuplist not quitting after a session which have mostly been resolved. Since these are isolated I need detailed information to fix them. Thanks, Rob DuToit (Version 4.0)
ROBDUT I havn't heard of update backups not working like this. They work fine for me and the field testers. It would be really helpful if users repsond to me about such an issue so I can fix the problem if there is one. Sometimes it's the program and sometimes the local environment. Thanks, Rob Dutoit (Version 3.9)
ROBERT DUTOIT Though the applescript "duplicate" command can be a bit finicky, it works well on most systems. I havn't seen or heard of this "empty folder"behaviour before. Most of the problems with copying files are because the media is not Mac OS extended format, or the user doesn't have permission for read/writng certain files so the script bales out. otherwise, I am trying to make this simple backup solution more stable in future releases. (Version 2.01)
ROBERT DUTOIT Really one of the best small, simple, and free backup utilities. I have tried them all and even published my own "backuplist" which has it's own simplicity (just a simple list) but iBackup is better organized, faster using shell commands etc. It is a good balance between complicated and too minimal. Also a great interface and application icon! Well done. I also would like to see the zip option (tried to code that in my app- no luck) but you can always do that on your own. (Version 3.0.4)
