RMHELPER  Several iRADIOmast advantages over browser based directories follow:

a. I can use my Sony Ericsson w800i cell phone "remote control software" to control my iTunes radio stations. My personal favorite is "salling clicker". I can change stations, volume, etc.

b. We have MANY stations not found in other directory services such as the U.S. Emergency Weather Stations.

c. We constantly add new, progressive stations that broadcast using non-shoutcast server software. Therefore, these stations are not included in the shoutcast directory.

d. Listening to internet radio through a web browser is akin to eating noodles with wool mittens. Sure you get the noodles in your mouth, but you wish you had done it a different way.

e. We are a small group of people who research and include obscure genre such as Electronic:Jungle (for the uninitiated, this is Techno Reggae that sometimes carries the name Ragga-Jungle). This is not suit corporate America. We do this because we love it.

f. In the Virtual World iRADIOmast is compatible with "slitunes", a Second Life plugin that brings iTunes music to your "Land" so your virtual guests can share your iTunes Radio stations. Try that with a browser.

RMHELPER  What happens to the standard iTunes Radio?

When the iRADIOmast plug-in is installed, and the subscription is paid for, our expanded Radio Directory is provided IN ADDITION to the regular iTunes station listing.

If the iRADIOmast subscription is NOT paid for, simply un-install the iRADIOmast plug-in to regain access to the regular iTunes stations.

RMHELPER  Don't forget, iRADIOmast is compatible with iTunes plugins!

Unlike other Streaming Radio directory applications (such as SHOUTcast and Live365 which are browser based), iRADIOmast is compatible with iTunes plugins.

iRADIOmast co-exists with extensions such as Salling Clicker (cell phone remote control software) and GimmeSomeTune (download lyrics and album covers).

RMHELPER  JimW.

I really enjoyed reading your review and can tell you really enjoy Internet Radio. Contact me if you want a free Subscription to iRADIOmast. I am at iradiomast@gmail.com.

I would like to share couple neat things with you.

First iRADIOmast is compatible with most existing iTunes plug-ins. What does this mean? It means you can have access to 7,000+ radio stations with high powered iTunes applications like RadioLover (...look that program up - smile).

Also, we now have a very complete listing of the U.S. NOAA Emergency Weather Radio Stations. I listen to the Milwaukee station in the morning when it is below zero during a super cold winter morning.

Last but not least, we love the product and are always looking for ways to add quality streams to the offering.

Take care and I look forward to hearing from you!

RMHELPER  Originally I wrote iRadiomast for myself. It was written to allow access to as many Radio streams, as possible, from within iTunes. Using HTML web pages to manage and access radio was NO longer an option.

We currently provide the directory containing the most internet Radio streams from within iTunes.

We are updating our Uninstaller at our website and at MacUpdate. At this point in time we believe the un-installation problem is fixed.

Enjoy!

GULLYFOYLE  Apparently the UnInstaller is NOT fixed.

I inadvertently installed your plug-in and am unable to remove it.

It would have been polite to have included a bit of documentation explaining the your plug-in completely disables iTunes' built in radio stations. Or any documentation at all for that matter

I give this plug-in minus three stars for inconvenience, lack of documentation and making iTunes unusable as a radio tuner

RMHELPER  We are making a fix to the uninstaller. In the short term, to uninstall, please use the following command in the terminal window after the uninstaller has been executed "sudo niload -v -m hosts . < /etc/hosts"
