RIXM I just installed WebJimbo last night and thought the automated setup did a great job of explaining and walking me through the setup. While this part of the interface isn't the most polished in terms of a Mac app, it was very easy to follow. I could see how, if you aren't familiar with opening ports on your router, that might throw you for a bit (Google is your friend), but overall it was painless. I'm using WebJ from work this morning and it's sweet! Added notes, searched for stuff, no problems! Since I have to work in a Windows world at work this app could be a great asset to me. Time will tell. Contact the developer if you haven't already, I'm sure he/they would be open to suggestions and willing to provide further guidance on setup. As for the price, that's up to the developer to set. He's done the hard work and has to support it. ...Having said that, $29.95 is just a bit steep for me. Maybe there will be a macupdate/maczot promo? Or a coupon for the subscribers to the barebones yojimbo list? Launch special? Who knows? Either way, I'm going to exercise the demo as much as I can during the trial... Not trying to refute your experience, just giving another view based on mine. |
