Aqua Extreme	Sep 7 2009	RICH K. Hey Max, you were my themeing hero back in the day. You gave me the inspiration to hack my HIToolbox framework and get rid of all the brushed metal in 10.4. I'm glad to see you back. Have you seen the ileopard project? they unified leopard with the matte itunes look throughout the system although it doesn't work in 10.6. I was dreaming the other day that if someone like you involved they could get a really nice unified GUI in 10.6. With respect to the Devs effort: i've been using Dock Block http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/13261/dockblock for years to get rid of the dock although its performance in leopard is a bit flakey so i searched and found http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/27841/dock-spaces which is more user configurable and free! STEVERB511 Thanks for the suggestion. Rich. iSnip became unusable for me with 10.5.7 and ClipMenu seems to be a good replacement.

FFASS Ditto the above comment. Was using iSnip for years but it's development is dead. And it's PPC, so it's slow even on my Mac Pro. ClipMenu offers the same features, it's not a PPC app (of course), plus it shows your long snippets via "tool tip" pop-up...really nice. Donated $5 to the developer -- I know I'll be using this application just about everyday.

RUBAIYAT No DivX files on the web?

You have to be kidding surely! It is almost the de rigour standard for the Net.

You rarely see a H264, just like AAC, more's the pity.

Apple Safari	Feb 25 2009	RICH K. Ok so I realise its a Beta but it does screw up my Mail App by keeping it forever stuck on downloading from mailbox. Secondly since the demise of Acid Search the search function has become useless. Contrary to Apples belief there are other countries on this planet apart from the USA, when I Google I want find results locally in my Country and not somewhere on the other side of the planet. FInally tabs on top looks odd but I couldn't care less about this or any of the other useless eyecandy because I'll be using Firefox. Thanks but no thanks Apple. (Version 4.0b1)		-12

Radio2ipod	Jul 22 2008	RICH K. version 1.2 fails because its Mplayer binary is out dated. download the latest binary here: http://switch.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/mplayerosx/ffmpegXbinaries20060307.zip then replace the old one in file:///Applications/Radio2ipod.app/Contents/Resources/bin/mplayer works fine again though you might experience real time audio drop out the final file is complete and playable. credit to jaysin22 for finding the soluion http://code.google.com/p/radio2ipod/issues/detail?id=1 (Version 1.2)		0

KRIONI Those file size are typical. A standard read-only disk image created by Disk Utility is about 10 MB, even when the application and README are less than a megabyte combined. However, the developer could make a Compressed Read-Only disk image, which would then make the disk image about the same size as zipping that 10 MB standard disk image, and, unless their web server cannot serve DMG files directly (doesn't know the MIME type so web browsers try to load it as text and see gobbledy-gook instead of downloading the file), make zipping the disk image unnecessary.

Strangely, many developers don't know about Compressed Read-Only disk images.

Adobe Flash Player	Apr 27 2007	RICH K. at last its fixed! visiting several flash sites don't bog down my power book and force me to restart! however the installer does not install the flash enabler plugin required to view flash content in the dinosaur that is micro$oft internet exploiter 5.2.3 for mac (not that i use it regularly!) I have to manually install this file in the internet plugins folder. i'm using a copy i saved from a 9.20 instalation of flaash player. (Version 9.0.45)		0

SIDEBURN Version 1.2.1 uses less than 1% of the cpu.

Also, it only uses the cpu in small bursts every few seconds. This is for monitoriing itunes and checking for new versions (every minute or so).
