A few simple things I'd like fixed. The "Importing..." dialog box needs to be moveable. Locking it to the middle of the screen while it opens large movies is annoying. Secondly, a "Cancel" button in the "Importing..." dialog box.

WTF!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS UPDATE.

It just destroyed my Rugged 250GB drive. Uploading firmware gets to 80% then message changes to Uploading configuration. That gets to 83% then its status briefly changes to Verifying.. Erasing... Uploading firmware. It does that twice and then I get the message "Sorry, failed to update the firmware!" Drive won't mount, nothing. Launch the LaCie Update Tool again and now the drive's version is vF.FF. It was v1.10. I guess the F.FF is an abbreviate F*CKED.

Love your work LACIE!

"Compatibility: improved Growl support. Systems without Growl displayed an error message in some cases at launch time."

Thank you!

Spoke too soon. Do you think it's possible to add support for folders within folders? That is for folders to retain their position within folders instead of every folder appearing at the top level.

Also, do you think you can add a manual option to "Rescan Movies folder every:..."

Thanks.

Why is Rivet's interface identical to Connect360? Did you have anything to do with Connect360?

Nope. Don't have Growl installed. Never had Growl installed. Just did a search for the Growl phrase on my Mac and nothing showed up. What do you think?

All I get when I launch the app is "Where is GrowlHelperApp.app?". Useless.

>Retains old license information for license window

Went from 2.5 to 2.5.1 and still had to enter my reg info again.

Regarding the Disable Spotlight Menu function. Does that mean remove the Spotlight icon from the menu bar? If so, it doesn't seem to work.

Good call on the double install. Unfortunately it's only in my Users directory.

My PayPal registered email is from tpg.com.au. First part begins with a "t".

The emails sent to nullriver tech support are from optusnet.com.au. First part begins with a "t".

Have checked spam/junk folders. Nothing there. Have sent you and email. Automated response received. Still waiting.

I don't know what the issue is with port allocation. Connect360 is the only app trying to access TCP/9335 & UDP/1900. Any ideas?

>Version 3.22

>Fixes UI scaling issues in Mac OS X versions prior to Leopard

Still not fixed. Unless 3.23 broke it again.

Also, why does it always error with "Could not allocate required port" even though the port is open available and worked before. I have to reboot twice before it starts working with the port again and the menu icon eventually appears.

"You should receive your registration information via e-mail within the next few minutes..."

Next few minutes? Yeah, feel free to send me my serial number that I paid for yesterday.

Sounds interesting. It won't launch on my G4.

I'm glad Quark is pushing ahead with XPress. The updaters are always welcome. Thanks.

I've never been really taken by InDesign. It's always had a "PageMaker" feel to it. Didn't like it then, don't like it now. I hear others are happy with it though. Good for them.

Hangs for me as well on a G4 PowerBook and MacMini PPC.

Hi Erich. To quote your previous comment:

"The one file limitation is more of a nuisance than an actual limitation. "

To dismiss this limitation as a nuisance really downplays its severity.

Firstly, in the same registration email I received was the other known limitation:

"Files larger than 1.85 GB are not supported."

Secondly, you've stated that maximum damage recovery is for files 292MB or less for DVD-R.

So, based on the above figures I can burn a 1.85GB image onto a 4.4GB DVD but I won't expect to achieve maximum recoverability because this image is over 292MB. Do you see what I'm getting at?

Also, given I can only use 1.85GB of a 4.4GB DVD why don't I just burn two lots of the same files on the same DVD using Toast? If one file becomes damaged I can always use the other copy.

Speaking from personal experience, I've been stung once or twice by archiving compressed and/or disk images. If the archive becomes corrupted you lose everything. I wouldn't recommend anyone combining all their files in one container for archiving.

At this point in TrueDisc's development it seems to offer limited usefulness and protection. So while it's really pretty to look at I can't actually use TrueDisc. What's your timeline for removing the two known limitations?

In another post here I asked the question what would the storage capacity be for a DVD-DL? The question should read "Once you remove the 1.85GB limitation what would the storage capacity be for a DVD-DL?".

FWIW I'm expecting good things from TrueDisc. Don't let me down :)

Thanks.

And what is the writeable capacity for a Dual Layer DVD?

I registered yesterday. My registration email came with the following tidbit:

"Known Issues: Only one file can be burned per disc. This will obviously be corrected in an upcoming point release."

This is a pretty big deal. Don't you think this should have been pointed out before users bought the product?

You calling this v1.0 software is, I think, a bit premature. It feels more like a beta or at best a preview. I look forward to the missing capabilities being added soon. Real soon!
