REEL_MAC  Man oh man, what a loathsome company Corel is. I made the mistake of introducing a Corel app to my Mac and it's already crashed it twice. It hogs resources and makes everything slow to a crawl. Auto-update results in a corrupt installer everytime. Try to go and get an update from their site, it feels like you're back in 1995, all corporate blandness with no way to contact someone online or just download a stupid update.

Crap, crap, crap. Never will a Corel turdy application touch my Mac again.

REEL_MAC  "Mail Factory and Printfolio customers could always crossgrade to Labels & Addresses for just $24.95 (not $50 as you say)"

That's not the price I saw. Sorry if I'm mistaken. This doesn't negate the fact that the whole process is confusing and frustrating for the user. I made the mistake of updating Printfolio and suddenly I was unable to print labels anymore. The program kept asking for the new Labels & Addresses program, completely ignoring Mail Factory. It took me hours to fix that one. The only "solution" was to downgrade everything to my original versions, which I thankfully had backed up.

What a pain.

BELIGHT TEAM  I am sorry about your negative experience with the update. Printfolio is the bundle of 5 programs and I understand that the updating process sometimes may cause the confusion, especially when paid updates are released. We do our best to avoid such situations, that is why we offered free upgrade for all customers who purchased the package after September 1st, 2008 (Mail Factory was replaced with Labels & Addresses on December 9th, 2008). If you purchased Printfolio close to the specified date, please send us an email with the order number or scanned copy of the receipt (if the software was purchased at the retail store) and we will update your package for free.

Kind regards,

BeLight Team

REEL_MAC  I purchased this package a couple months before they updated the Mail Factory application to Labels & Addresses.

Then I installed updates and all of a sudden I can't access any lables anymore. Why? Because I have to pay another $50 to Belight in order to unlock Labels & Addresses. Now I'm trying to go back to the original setup, but the Printfolio software keeps asking for Labels & Addresses, as if Mail Factory never existed.

I emailed their support and they tell me there's no upgrade deal for current users.

Cheapskates.

That's the last time I give Belight any of my money.

BELIGHT TEAM  Dear REEL_MAC

Mail Factory and Printfolio customers could always crossgrade to Labels & Addresses for just $24.95 (not $50 as you say). Users that purchased Mail Factory version 2 and Printfolio on or after September 1, 2008, qualify for a FREE license code for Labels & Addresses. This information was always posted on our website:

http://www.belightsoft.com/labelsaddresses/update/update.php

Printfolio customers who chose not to crossgrade Mail Factory to Labels & Addresses can continue using Printfolio 1.4 which has Mail Factory included.

You may download this version here:

Best regards,

BeLight Team

REEL_MAC  What's the difference? You probably spend your life naked in front of the computer.

I don't think this software is meant for Walmart fashionistas like yourself.

REEL_MAC  You have to ask yourself what kind of loser takes the time to comb MacUpdate for software to make fun of. Just because you obese desk jockies own only a couple pairs of cargo pants doesn't mean the rest of the world is so pathetic.

Try opening your weenie brains and imagine that there are people who have tons of outfits for various professions. TV personalities for one. Use your own brain and maybe you think of more.

God, Mac nerds are obnoxious.

REEL_MAC  Just Incredible!

I've been a Final Cut Pro user since v.1 (many years ago) and I've never ever come across such a useful, must-have Video app.

I got the bundle with AudialHub and I still can't believe the amazing price.

I've used VH almost everyday since I bought it. Forget Cinematize!

I'm currently using Leopard 10.5.2 and have not had a single stability issue. I've converted DVD's, QuickTime movies, even some VOB someone from Europe stuck on a DVD. VH was the only thing that could deal with it and it converted it from PAL without a hitch.

I wish all software was this awesome.

REEL_MAC  Wow this software has really gone downhill. POS, to put it bluntly. All SPAM results.

Even worse, though, any useful results are coming from "unregistered" users, which you're unable to download (probably unless you hand over some cash to this guy). Strangely, I can share just fine, I've got uploads going in the first few seconds, even though I'm unregistered.

So much for peer-to-peer.

LaCie LightScribe Labeler
May 10 2006

REEL_MAC  I made the mistake of buying a LaCie lightscribe burner. Thought it would be a great idea, but the Mac version of the software is HORRIBLE.

It's a quickie for the Mac crowd that doesn't have even half the features of the windows version. And it's clunky and unreliable.

I've had it quit unexpectedly a few times, stupid errors for no good reason and have had to force quit a few times. It's really, truly awful and LaCie should be embarrased to offer this. Too bad that legit labelling software (discus is 100% better) can't be used with the burner. Mac users are stuck with this garbage.

And if anyone is wondering, I'm running a newly-installed 10.4.6 on a G5 dual 2.7 gHz tower.
