REALMAC17 Thanks for your comments, but when your program uses double-entry accounting instead of single-entry - it's not as easy as you think. If you have any other feedback, our support team would love to hear it. (Version 1.6.2)

REALMAC17 Just so you know, OFX support is definitely coming in an update later this year - along with more advanced CSV and QIF importing. If you have any other feedback, please email support - we're always happy to hear from potential customers. (Version 1.6.2)

REALMAC17 Works very well. Very fast, and I *love* the new Find (cmd+F, give it a go if you haven't already). The added CSS 3 support with the new WebKit is very good too, but there are bugs but it is a Public Beta afterall. (Version 3.0b)

REALMAC17 Odd user interface, no Universal Binary, not very Mac-like in general but seems to work rather well. The reports are probably the best feature. (Version 2007)

REALMAC17 DragThing does this and so much more with a better user interface. (Unless I missed something). Maybe Pangea should stick to games? (Version 1.0)

NECRISREX1 I tried using DragThing for a long time. It's a great productivity booster and I was a registered user for over a year. HOWEVER, it does a lot more than Tabmeister, and the price reflects that. If all you are looking for is this functionality to bring tabbed windows style interface back to OS X, this is cheaper enough to have room in the market too. I'm sure. (Version 2.0)

TabMeister | Jun 20 2007 |
MACNEWS Tabs in DragThing are an afterthought, and not implemented in a very fluid manner for my tastes. This is a straightforward, in-your-face app which does what it says and vice versa; and very responsively at that. All I want are a few more customization options, such as the ability to click and drag tabs, change their individual colors, reduce cpu usage, and I'm sold. I think Pangea's entry into this genre is most welcome and a long time in coming. They are the best shareware game makers bar none (save, perhaps, Ambrosia), and I fully expect them to deliver the same consistency in quality, imagination and innovation in this genre that they've shown with their games. (Version 2.0)

REALMAC17 Does the job as advertised very well - I even paid for the Pro version (only $10). Now I won't burn my eyes out since my iMac is still very bright on the lowest brightness level. (Version 2.2)

REALMAC17 $50 for an app you can't even trial and for an app that has an ugly interface and lots of freeware competitors? Right. (Version 1.12)

Horizon | May 22 2007 |
REALMAC17 I'm sorry, why would you pay $29.95 for an app with hardly any functionality when you could pay $10 more and get a decent finance app that does it all? (Version 1.1)

Email Backup Pro | Apr 12 2007 |
REALMAC17 Cheap and it works. Although the backup file is large (250MB for me, but I do have a lot of email). However, a free alternative is to simply do manual backups by making a copy of where a mail client originally saves accounts/emails/attachments. (Version 1.2.1)

REALMAC17 You might want to consider FinanceToGo which is a good finance app for OS X that lets you enter income/expenses for each month. (Version 0.2)

Mellel | Feb 17 2007 |
REALMAC17 Could be a lot better. No text flow around images (no way to wrap text around images). This feature was meant to come in v2 but didn't. The way Mellel handles paragraph/character styles is weird and confusing. No option to customize the toolbar. No option to change the page color. I don't think this compares very well to Nisus or Word at all. 3/5 (Version 2.1.3)

ORI REDLER This is Ori from RedleX: You might have missed this, but you CAN set the page background colour, both printing and non-printing background. (Version 2.1.3)

Mellel | Mar 19 2007 |
ALBION Mellel is far more sane and consistent than Word, and far less bug-ridden than Nisus. Mellel and Nisus both do a fairly poor job of importing .doc format. Only NeoOffice is an even vaguely credible alternative to Word for dealing with this obfuscated propietary format. If you need to process words on a Mac, and communicate with the rest of the world, you need them all. Well, honestly, you could probably live without Nisus. (Version 2.2)

Mellel | Mar 19 2007 |
OSOS10 Yep, I agree. Two months ago I purchased Nisus, I find it much easier to use, as stable as Mellel and imports doc file way better than Mellel. (Version 2.2)

Mellel | Feb 22 2008 |
CORPSECORPS Since it's switch from a "Mac" app to a windoze-first/Mac-second app for version 6, Word has been the one of most horrid pieces of software ever devised! Whether i prefer Mellel or Nissus, is undecided. (Version 2.2.7.2)

NewsFire | Feb 16 2007 |
REALMAC17 Nice looking, but at the same time metal is an old look. Lacking in features. Very slightly over-priced. No customer support or documentation. There are much better apps out there. 2/5 (Version 1.4v69)

DVD Snap | Feb 16 2007 |
TOBIAS JORDAN Please have a look at http://www.ambrosiaSW.com. The product Snapz Pro X 2 (without Quicktime): Many features are part of Mac OS X. Snapz Pro X allows also DVD capture like DVD Snap but DVD Snap - supports more output image formats - automatic sequential image captures - user selected cutout in full screen mode - price: Snapz Pro X 2 (without Quicktime) is for $29.00, so what about the price for DVD Snap $19.95 ? I think DVD Snap is really worth of the money. Tobias Jordan. (Version 1.0)

MacCleanse | Feb 10 2007 |
REALMAC17 Mac Cleanse is an impressive product which excels at what it does. At only $20 and with dozens of features, Mac Cleanse makes it easy to maintain OS X easily without any hassle whatsoever. What makes Mac Cleanse unique is that you can remove histories and logs from lots of different applications from Acquisition to iTunes to VLC. It also handles all the popular web browsers for clearing history and cache. I really liked the interface and the developer is very responsive and polite. 5/5! (Version 1.0.1)

REALMAC17 Display Eater was disappointing to say the least. Stalled my system and when I recorded, it made over 1,300 separate files (no joke!) inside a folder -- Not sure what to say to that. (Version 1.85)

FileMaker Pro | Jan 13 2007 |
REALMAC17 FileMaker Pro 8 is over-rated, highly priced, lacking in features, seriously out-of-date (holds the same UI as it did in version 3 from the 1990s). One of the worst products for the Mac, ever. FileMaker themselves do not even offer E-mail customer support. Telephone only, what the hell? Not only this, but on their website they let you enter a question in, your name, email address, all before they tell you that they don't do Email support. So I now have an account on their website for no reason. Great. (Version 8.5)

Cha-Ching | Nov 27 2006 |
REALMAC17 A thoroughly disappointing application in terms of features. This does not include any of the features that should be expected from a finance application. It is missing reports, QIF import/export, no spaces for VAT/tax. Also missing detailed pie charts/bar charts. Also no features for keeping track of debt, property, business profit and losses, etc. I also dislike the amount of customization on the user interface. (Version 0.3.1)

AKROBAT What you call missing features can be found in any other financial app. For those of us who don't want to jerk off to Pie charts, profit & loss, assets, mortgages and all the other superfluous nonsense then this app is actually pretty good. Or as we like to say: KISS = Keep it simple stupid! (Version 1.0)

Disco | Oct 31 2006 |
REALMAC17 Disco has several quirks and missing features. It doesn't allow users to resize the main window, you can't choose the write speed, handling of recording audio files and VIDEO_TS folders is pretty much non-existant, disc layouts can't be saved before they are burnt, items in the main window list can't be reorganized, and so on. There are also no Help files included in the application, and you can't choose a custom icon for your disc as in DiscBlaze. (Version 1.0b3)
