REAL_MACINFO I don't know why, but in almost every other release of Transmission, the "magnifying glass" button doesn't work (it normally should bring up the finder and open the window where the downloaded file is located). And v1.50 again is a "other" release. ;-( Sorry, I really like Transmission for it's sleekness, but this one drives me crazy. Running v1.50 on OS X 10.4.11 (Intel). (Version 1.50)

ROBBY.IS.ON I've been seeing this problem as well. It's 10.4-only apparently. See http://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/1667. (Version 1.50)

ROBBY.IS.ON Or rather http://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/1781. The two issues are related we've been told. (Version 1.50)

WebArchive Extractor | Nov 12 2008 |
REAL_MACINFO Great little application! It perfectly expanded some intricate eBay-webarchive files, which WebArchive Folderizer (1.2.5) didn’t. (Version 0.6)

REAL_MACINFO Seems to be a interesting tool. Shame, that nobody else thought about how useful something like this could be, before. So, kudos to the developer! (Version 1.0.30)

DownloadComment | Feb 21 2008 |
REAL_MACINFO DownloadComment is great because it also puts the download path in the file comment if you drag&drop some file (e.g. an image) into your finder windows or to the desktop! Therefore: Great little helper! (Version 1.2.1)

DownloadComment | Feb 21 2008 |
REAL_MACINFO One thing that regular Safari 3 on 10.4.x doesn't do: If you drag&drop a file (e.g. an image) to your finder it doesn't add the download path to the file comment. With DownloadComment Installed it does! Hope that helps. ;-) (Version 1.2.1)

DesktopSweeper | Jan 16 2008 |
REAL_MACINFO I hope we will see a new version of APE working on Leopard soon, so we can get DesktopSweeper running there too! I think, still no other "hide-icons-on-desktop" comes close to it, neither in simplicity nor in speed. (Version 1.3)

3ivx MPEG-4 | Aug 23 2007 |
REAL_MACINFO I advise anyone to be cautious with this codec, although this codec has a long development cycle and some good features, I think it makes more problems than it solves. Let's take for example this QuickTime encoded MPEG-4 video: http://de.m-audio.com/images/global/videos/88sxMG.mov if I have 3ivx installed on my MDD Dual G4 it crashes the host application (QuickTime Player, Safari, etc.) when opening the movie! When I remove the 3ivx codec, it plays nicely. (Version 5.0.1)

gDisk | Aug 28 2006 |
REAL_MACINFO Most recent version doesn't work for me. Although it does upload files to the GMail account, I can't see or access them from within gDisk. If I check my account via the web frontend all uploaded files are there. (Version 0.5)

Laughing Man | Jan 28 2006 |
REAL_MACINFO This app show some promise. But it fails on web pages with dynamic banner ads, etc. (rotating banner ads fool the app into thinking of a web site change, even though you put on "ignore images", because the underlying ad-rotation-code also makes little changes to the incoming html code!) Catalog | Jul 9 2005 |
MARKUS Nice Icons, nice GUI, but that’s it! CDFinder seems to have more features you’d nedd day-to-day. Just like, find files with a combination of 2 different name fragments. And what about searching in Zip, LHA, SIT archives, CDFinder can do this for a long time! This is not to say that CDFinder has every feature one would wish, but it’s still the best CD/DVD catalog app on the Mac platform I could think of!

HotApp | Jul 1 2005 |
MARKUS To the previous commenter: MaxMenus may be a nice OS X system addition, but it surely doesn’t have a similar featureset. HotApp does provide a keyboard shortcut to almost every possible system-action, whereas MaxMenus does just Menu Enhancements (to all 4 screen corners) to conviniently start Apps, find Documents, Folders, etc. (Version 1.9.1)

DeskShade | Jun 5 2005 |
MARKUS DeskShade is nice, though a little bit of bloatware also! If you just need to quickly hide/show your desktop icons I recommend "DesktopSweeper", a little APE hack. It get’s invoked just with a keyboard shortcut. So, no "mousing & clicking" needed! While we are at it, "Window Dragon" is also a nice APE hack, which let’s you drag your windows from anywhere you want, with just the press of a modifier key! Sorry for being a little OT.
