StuffIt Expander 2010

PSEUDOPROMETHEUS  Instead of using an installer, might I suggest the use of an illustrative dmg wallpaper, à la Firefox? You could even take it one step further and include an alias for the Applications folder like some other developers have.

Best of luck. :)

MacUpdate Widget

PSEUDOPROMETHEUS  I second this comment about adding a "popular" view! The popular page is the page I visit the most, so if this feature were to be put into the widget, I'd use it a lot more.

Even without it, though, it's still a good widget. :)

Shades

PSEUDOPROMETHEUS  This is a great app, I've been wanting something like it for a long time. One thing I've noticed though, is that the dimming doesn't take effect on iTunes movies played in full-screen mode. I'm sure it only means that the movie itself plays over the 'layer' that Shades makes. I wonder if it's possible to work around this ...

Otherwise, I give this app a big thumbs-up. Slick interface, and a much-needed solution to the iMac's somewhat limited range in brightness settings. Love it.

Microsoft Office 2004

PSEUDOPROMETHEUS  Actually, one could generally assume that Apple had a longer time to turn their applications into universal binaries because Apple knew about their impending switch to Intel processors long before Microsoft did. Even then, not all official Apple apps were universal when Intel macs started shipping (i.e. Final Cut Pro and Aperture).

Have patience, the transition to UB takes time. : )

PSEUDOPROMETHEUS  I think ProgramHappy's idea is a pretty good one ... after all, having filtered results would help to give the app a generally slimmer and more cleaner-looking appearance. Simplicity after all, is frequently one of Mac software's known advantages.

Plus, just because there's a widget that does the same thing, it doesn't mean nobody's interested in a menu app like this one.

OnyX

PSEUDOPROMETHEUS  Perhaps having an 'Apply' button could be an option in OnyX preferences? That way, if a user doesn't want an 'Apply' button, they don't have to have one, but if one does, then they do.

Just a suggestion.
