PROPELLERHEAD  yes, the lack of documentation is terrible. I hope Safari Stand is still being developed, because I really like it.

Here are some shortcuts that work for me:

Google Images - gi

Google Maps - gm

Wikipedia - wi

PROPELLERHEAD  ***** (five stars!)

man, this is so f*in' hilarious!

especially that one comment:

"Thankfully none so far."

ROTFL!

IF it ever becomes TRUE,

THEN it won't be as funny

BUT until then

LOL!

PROPELLERHEAD  oops did I say 3 companies?

I guess "2" would have been more accurate.

PROPELLERHEAD  Agreed.

Don't touch this thing with a ten foot pole.

It seems like a good idea,

But after using it I had to reinstall OS X.

Because all non-intel programs would not work, or would take unbelievabe amounts of time & CPU to launch & run:

all apps from Macromedia, Micro$haft, & Adobe.

Couldn't use any of them.

I support the idea, but I think this app needs a little more work to make it safe.

Oh, BTW those 3 companies need to work a little harder on producing usable software, it's a pity so many of us have to rely on them.

PROPELLERHEAD  Thanks.

I was pretty happy when I learned about that one, after much frustration trying many other things, it really works easily & well.

Also, if you have Quicktime Pro & Perian

http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/22923

you can open flv's in Quicktime & save them to whatever format you like. Saving to a quicktime .mov takes no time at all.

PROPELLERHEAD  The easiest thing is to use Safari Stand.

http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/16687

Once the flv is downloaded, you simply command-click on it & save to downloads folder. Since it's already done downloading, it saves instantly, & also it has the appropriate name.

ROBERT  Yep, that's what I use. For a while I didn't know it was SafariStand that provided the ⌘-clicking ability, and I figured it was an undocumented feature of Safari.

Perian is great, too. A lot of people were waiting for Apple to do what that provides.

MARIUS_TH  you can also just rename your .flv to .avi to make it work with just about any player.
