I use FTP and SFTP every day, and I've used all of the other major contenders in this category, on all platforms -- Linux, MacOS, and Windows. Out of all of the clients I've tried, Yummy FTP is my favorite by far on any platform. Not only does it give the fastest transfers, it has a good and intuitive user interface, it is fully-featured (including "wachers" and "aliases"), and the developer is extremely good about putting out new versions. I recommend this program highly. Look no further for excellent FTP/SFTP/etc. |

is this thing a pain in the butt to use? It looks like it'd get in the way. I'm a coversutra user... |

When this works, it is great. When it doesn't...well, it gets weird. I have this running on a Macbook for a podcast that I do. The software sometimes works well, but other times, the sounds break apart, get choppy, or clip a microsecond from the front of the sound. I often have to quit and reopen the program to get it to work correctly. The developer has tried to be helpful, but we cannot resolve this problem. The software is almost unusable for me, and the developer is at a loss. |
