afaik... Max is the only one wich uses lame for mp3, core audio (not QuickTime!) for aac, latest flac and ogg libraries for flac and ogg and so on. meaning that it uses the best available technology for every file format. so... if you care about sound quality you should use Max ;-) VisualHub is a great app, but AudialHub... ;-P |

Ok so, Elagato says, you get *1 year* free subscription to tvtv. But... if you already have a tvtv account you just get plain nothing! Not even a 1 more day bonus! Thank you, Elgato and tvtv!!! Oh, btw... tvtv sucks (at least here, in Europe. Complaining with their "customer support" leads to a "It's *your* hardware's/software's fault" kind of answer). How happens that a free widget (guidaTv) retrieves *all* programs correctly while this payed service can't? And, without a tvtv subscription, many EyeTV features are totally useles!!! (DVB? Are you kidding? ;-) |

Maybe I'm alone on this (I sent a couple of emails to the developer but he never answered): under Leopard if you save (even without editing it) an "mp4" file... well... it will just desappear! Be warned. |
