PHILLRYU A lot of really great promise. I'd love to be able to import my Paypal history and integrate with online banking, but for 0.2? This is great. Really looking forward to seeing where this goes! (Version 0.2)

PHILLRYU This is an awesome app! Without distractions, I was able to pump out a few blog posts in about half the time it normally takes. Great job, and keep it up, love it! (Version 1.0b2)

We've taken your feedback, and removed registrations from the site. In addition, the upcoming version of Omniweb (5.5, now in semi-public beta) will fully support the site.

Soulver | Jun 17 2006 |
PHILLRYU For my purposes (a calculator more advanced than the included one), Soulver is really great. It's fast, clean, and is about 5x more useful / nicer than Calculator app's built-in "Paper Tape" feature. Sure, it's no Mathematica, but I also didn't drop a few grand on this, so I've been nothing but satisfied, and no regrets on the $13 I spent. (Version 1.3.3)

PHILLRYU I'd say it's relevant. I didn't review the software negatively for it, but the name is something that can be given feedback on. I really do believe that the name carries somewhat of a negative cannotation with anyone who had experience with sea monkeys. ;) (Version 1.0b)

PHILLRYU Is anyone kinda turned off by the name? Sea monkey? In other words, possibly the greatest fraud in the history of childrens toys? How many kids (including me) excitedly waited for my glorious sea monkeys to arrive, and was terribly disappointed by its false claims? (Brine shrimp compared to the smiling, clothes wearing, volleyball playing creatures displayed on the box?) Doesn't give me the best initial impression of the app itself! (Version 1.0b)

Digital FireworX Screensaver | May 27 2004 |
PHILLRYU This is a very nice screensaver, and shows a ton of promise. However, a few things: First, it needs more fireworks. Right now, it is simply too repetitive to view the fireworks they include. Second, performance is not great on an 800mhz G4 iMac with a GeForce2MX. It stutters. Third, the fireworks going up and exploding look very good, but the way they fade does not feel right. I think the fade time needs to be longer. Anyway, this shows some real promise! (Version 2.1)

PHILLIP RYU This is one of THE best mac games, ever. Once you figure out the special weapons, special tactics, playing online is so addictive, that you can be playing this for hours! But best of all, it's great fo a few quickiest too. I really wish this was more popular :( This is too underated, and EV: Nova a bit too overrated. (Version 1.0.3)

Ultimate Pen | Dec 17 2003 |
PHILLIP RYU I'm on a PC right now so I can't review this, but I'd just like to point out that yeah, Powerpoint has a lot more features than Keynote, but we all know that one is bloated, and the other is not. I'm not suggesting that this is bloated, just saying that a feature comparison chart isnt' all that matters. (Version 1.1.1)

KYLE Our product comparison chart isn't meant to show that one product is better than another. It's meant to show the differences between the products. If you don't need the additional features of one product or the other, this chart will help you decide that. We've had LOTS (and I do mean LOTS) of people ask what the difference is between Ultimate Pen and Desktastic. Having the chart on the web saves us quite a bit of time on sales/tech support. I guess this just goes to show that we can't satisfy everybody at the same time. If you have any ideas about how to make our web site better, please send them to us at info@snowmintcs.com or support@snowmintcs.com. (Version 1.1.1)

Power Metal | Nov 24 2003 |
PHILLIP RYU Powermetal is one of my favorite themes, definitely my favorite by Swiz. The theme is a rendition of the new aluminum used in the Powermacs and Powerbooks, and the look 'ported' to your desktop makes even my iBook look pro. The texture is perfect, and the lighted up blue widgets are professionally done, with a very 'x-serve' like look. One suggestion from myself is an option to switch to white lights, similar to the new G5's and powerbooks, perhaps through the system preferences Blue/Graphite option. Like all of Swiz's themes, Powermetal comes loaded with extras, including several simplistic and g5 styled desktops and a safari toolbar replacement. For icons, I heartily recommend Iconfactory's TiSystem icon replacement set. It's light grey, bolted metal icons go quite well with this theme and Aluminum Alloy (another very different but great metal theme by Max Rudberg). Powermetal is one of the most usable themes out there, and still manages to look very different from Aqua while it's at it. This is what brushed metal might become, if Apple bases it off their new metal products (just like Aqua was inspired by the iMacs I suspect). (Version 10.3)

SmoothStripes | Nov 23 2003 |
PHILLIP RYU This theme is essential to any theme collection, no doubt about it. SmoothStripes combines the cleanness and purity of Aqua with the professional quality and aesthetics of Max Rudberg, resulting in a beautiful addition to anyone's collection that should not be missed. Unlike Max's other themes, SmoothStripes lack any real extras, as it was designed to match Apple's own desktops and icons. However, it comes with several variations, including versions with sunken widgets, blue widgets, glossy widgets, etc. that each have their own characters, and are each a pleasure to use. SmoothStripes is the next evolution of Aqua, fixing many of the glitches, mistakes, and shortcomings of the current offering from Apple, while improving other satisfactory elements past good, into excellent. (Can anyone say widgets?) To complete the pure white look of your new interface, try using the Snow.E 2 icons from Rad-E8 (http://www.rad-e8.com/). (Version 4.0)

Aluminum Alloy | Nov 20 2003 |
PHILLIP RYU This is one of the more unique themes out there, and the preview shows it all. The theme is a bright aluminum texture, with almost poisonously bright widgets that look as if they were molded out of molten glass. Buttons and menubars are fastened with rivets, giving this theme a unique look of industrial quality not seen in most other themes. The theme comes with 4 different color tones: Cryogenic (blue), Toxic (green), Volcano (red) and Smog (grey). As with all of Max's themes, Aluminum Alloy comes with fantastic extras, including safari button replacements and a series of beautiful and simple desktops that accompany the theme very well. This is not for everyone, however. The bright theme, while beautifully executed, will not appeal to those who prefer darker and more subdued themes. Snow.E 2 Icons are recommended to accompany this newest work from Max Rudburg. Pros: Great features and accompanying extras, super polished and well concepted. Free and stable, now thanks to ShapeShifter. Cons: Will not appeal to those who prefer more subdued themes. (Version 1.1)

Argonaut 2149 | Nov 5 2003 |
PHILLIP RYU Great, but here are some gameplay improvements I really hope for: Different colors at least for the background fog, green can get repetitive. Save game? So you can continue at a level with credits and weapons? Also, perhaps if you allowed turning with the mouse, and had an aiming reticule for it, that would also be very cool. And if you're not going to have mouse controls, get rid of the cursor please! GREAT SO FAR!! :D (Version 1.0)

Primate Plunge | Nov 4 2003 |
PHILLIP RYU The game is fun, but I think it would be better to have the score go up by the number of ledges you hit, thus making it advantageous to try to get as many. It needs more powerups too. (Version 1.0)

PHILLIP RYU Or Chercher... 1/3 the price, same basic features. Yes, I tried this. I also tried chercher and the app launcher app that has a search menu item. They're all similar in functionality, but iseek is at least 3 times more expensive than its competition.. (Version 1.0)
