An insanely Great widget. The addition of the 'send' shortcut (^s) has 'completed' the product. Thanks to Apple's less than optimal decision to remove the SMS facility from Address Book (Leopard) this is an absolutely vital addition to any Leopard install. I have only two very minor criticism's: 1. With the addition of the 'send ' shortcut the [Send] button became a very small (but clean) icon that is a bit fiddly ti 'hit' if you prefer to send via a mouse click. 2. The widget is so easy and compelling to use it is a no-brainer to send off an sms from the computer rather than from the phone and to send out LOTs more SMS's. So easy in fact my partner and I have run out of our 'free' allotment of SMS's in just a few days and now have to pay for them. 8-( Have a Great day! pete. |

As with many others I think the decision made by the developer/s to change the way the app works by adding a full Menu Bar and Dock Icon is not optimal. Without at least the option to easily override BOTH of these via prefs means that I will not now or ever go past Vers 3.06. [I had Vers 3.1 installed for all of 10 secs before deciding it was time to advance backwards.] If in future that means an OS update breaks MCC then I will, regrettably, have to purchase one of the less endowed competition which is sad as I believe MCC has the best interface of all similar utilities. |

Always was and still is 'Best of Breed' IMO. It just works. Have a Great day! pete. |

This app does exactly what it is advertised to - it automates Audio Hijack Pro. At US$12 it's a no brainer. ' I liked it so much I bought two...' |

2.2b3 may have problems - it appears to add chararacters to typed text - use with care. Don't DELETE your previous version. A report to the developer has been sent. |

I am currently in the middle of writing a Developer Guide and User Manual for a Database System I have written. At the start of this process I re-visited NoteTaker as the latest version appeared to offer some features that would have saved time - the period budgeted for the entire process is only 15 days and required feedback from developers and users more than 900 kms apart. To cut a long story short - NoteTaker just couldn't provide the overall quality and reliability required in this short period - it has a number of frustrating GUI anomolies that I just didn't have time to work around. Whilst NoteBook may not have all the features NoteTaker has, what is has is elegantly implemented and it does what any good Mac app should do - it just works without getting in the way. Its web publishing feature is excellent has no problems that I have come across for my needs in this project. The published site [updated hourly] is exactly as it is in the NoteBook, in fact, the included pics display even better in the web view than they do in the original NoteBook. To top that off, the the approachable and friendly support by Jayson [the developer] in relation to one small bug I came across is outstanding - although the bug wasn't completely squashed in the latest update his efforts to solve the problem and the helpful suggestion of a relatively simple workaround for now has saved me hours. Bottom Line - CircusPonies has my money - Aquaminds doesn't. |

I can only conclude that those who complain about such relatively low prices for software have NEVER developed software themselves. Any form of software development is both a combination of HARD EARNED technical skills and inate creative ability. Software with the solidity, ease of use and features and useability such as FileBuddy doesn't just magically appear overnight. It is the culmination of months and years of time and effort [blood, sweat & tears] by the developer. FileBuddy is and has been a vital and integral part of my software toolbox for as long as I can remember and will continue to do so into the foreseeable future. At US$39.95 [AU$58.60] it is well worth <3 hours of my income - I save that much time each month using it. How much would you expect back for as little as a year of your life? Have a Great day! |

Well worth the AU$27 - the best solution I have found in mac'ing in 20 years for colour balancing. I, like more than 15% of the population have partial colour blindness [red-green are of the spectrum]. I can finally offer more than just grey based colour schemes in my data systems with confidence and with out having to ask my partner to double check every colour change. As soon as the next payments come in - this author gets his well deserved US$19. pete. |
