PENNYHEAD1 I have not updated in a long time (since Snow Leopard came out) and quite a bit had of info had to be backed up. What the developer said "Faster than ever - up to 2x on 10.5/10.6" is true!!! 322,628 files had to be updated out of 644,019 and SuprDuper! 2.6.2 did it in no time. Wish I had timed it but it was fast anyway. I love this app (not such a big fan of Time Machine, too many files!!!). (Version 2.6.2)

TechTool Pro | Sep 29 2009 |
PENNYHEAD1 Tech Tool has mas functions besides it's protection features. You can rebuild volumes, optimizes files, optimize volumes, recover data, rescue data which has been trashed. You can do diagnostics and sometimes repair your computer's HD. I have no use for the huge library that Time Machine creates and use SuperDuper which updates what's necessary. Tech Tool Pro has been a valuable resource for me! :) (Version 5.0.6)

Birthdaybook | Aug 13 2009 |
PENNYHEAD1 Great program with great features. It's a nice way to automatically see reminders of important dates on your desktop and you can sync it with iCal. Very customizable too. Thanks! Last year I had a bug which caused the program interface to disappear. I could get the data field to show up when I would go under file and select "Print Table" but when I would select the arrow button to go back to the interface, Birthdaybook would quit. The bug came back again and it's been about a year since it happened before. I was playing with it for a couple of hours to find out what was wrong. When I went to the preferences and changed the range of days from "up to 20 days before to "up to 10 days before" the interface came back. Maybe there was too much information to display? I don't really know but I'm glad it's working again. (Version 5.2)

Fetch | Jun 2 2009 |
PENNYHEAD1 I maintain four websites (one with over 7G of info) and have been using Fetch since 2002 and consider it an indispensable tool. The following three updates are worth the price of the upgrade (for me at least): * Edit any sort of remote file using any application and the changes will be automatically saved back to the server * Use Quick Look to preview remote files without leaving Fetch * Improved compatibility and reliability, including automatic resume of uploads that stop or stall in the middle -- Fetch will keep going It's certainly worth every penny. A big thank you goes out to the developer!

PENNYHEAD1 Great fun game!! Great background music; this is the only game I can play without turning off the music. A great addition to the game would be an option to view the game as a realistic 3D environment, blue sky, clouds, concrete buildings, metal tanks, grass etc... Great way to spend a little time blowing off steam! (Version 1.6.2)

PENNYHEAD1 Great app when it worked. Interface is gone, list still shows up. Did what was suggested on the developers website (complete reinstall). When I imported the information I backed-up, interface disappears. Contacted developer and they did not respond. Too bad so sad... (Version 5.2)

PENNYHEAD1 Would be nice to have it available on the menubar. I was using a launcher that would also quit all applications. 99% of the time I used it only for quitting all applications and it was impeding my start-up time because it wasn't coded for Intel. When I saw Force Quit All Applications, I jumped on it and threw the old one in the trash. Thanks for the nice app! (Version 1.0)

PENNYHEAD1 Keeps getting better and better. Nice panoramas, great 3D models, nice simulations. I started using Starry Night around version 4 and by 6.2.1, it has been vastly improved. The developers are quick to sort out problems and there are more updates in between versions than in the past. (Version 6.2.1)

NotePad | Oct 2 2007 |
PENNYHEAD1 Great to see an update on this app. A couple of issues. The scroll bar for an individual page only exists on page 3 (at least on my computer). A few times there were some strange effects while scrolling the notes on page three. I wish I had taken a screen shot when this happened. At first I would see lines underneath the words. Then the characters started bending back at the top of the page kind of like the marquee at the beginning of Star Wars No I don't take acid). If I switched a page then went back, the page would be normal. It happened about three times. It has not happened since I moved the app. to the applications folder. When this happened, I was running it from my download folder. I do not know if this would make any difference. I have a MacBook Pro running on 10.4.1. I have used this particular notepad for years any am very happy with it's simplicity. In fact I use it every day and want to thank the developer for updating it. (Version 2.6b1)

PENNYHEAD1 I have been using the Cepstral Diane voice for about a year. Works great and the voice is much better than any of the canned Apple voices. Just a bit more tweaking is all that's needed as there are a few pronunciation errors and a slight wavering can sometimes be heard. All-in-all the application is A #1. (Version 4.2)

SuperDuper! | Mar 4 2007 |
PENNYHEAD1 To make a long story short, I manually would back up thousands of files almost everyday: over 20,000 for websites alone, preferences, software etc... SuperDuper! did it for me. After reading the reviews I tried it. Worked like a charm. Once you clone your computer for the first time and purchase the software, you can do a "Smart" update which only migrates updated files. I tested the Smart Update by changing a few .jpg files and everything worked out fine. I have had a few computer crashes where I wished I had something like this. Only problem was that a few times the clone would not mount quick enough and the software could not find it. I highly recommend this for anyone who manages thousands of files and for people who just want a piece of mind that their information is protected from a disk failure. (Version 2.1.4)
