DARYLF2 asked...

"How well does this work with Intel Macs?"

It's kind of crashy on an Intel Mac. With a Coolscan 5000ED and SF-210 slide feeder it crashes occasionally, but not always, when a slide jams. It also seems to crash intermittently. It's too bad, too, because I really like the Nikon Scan software.

I would really love it if they came out with a newer, faster Coolscan VI/6000 and a Universal app update for Nikon Scan. Maybe give us 5000 dpi while they're at it.

It's a little misleading to list "$59" as the price. The Ai Studio is $233 for my plain epson scanner. I like the autocrop, but $233 seems a little steep. Am I missing something?

Holy cow. It's harder to try to register this "free" program that any Adobe or Macromedia suite.

First, you *must* give your email to get a serial number to run it - it has no demo mode whatsoever.

Then, when you enter the serial number, it captures your machine's MAC id and combines that with your serial number and name and tries to send that back to You Control.

If the registration process fails (network down, timeout, whatever) you *can't* quit the registration panel. The quit menu is greyed out, and the registration panel still dutifully requests you try again later, when, if the process fails again, asks you to try again, and again.

Ugh, no thanks. I'll go try Synergy, Sofa, whatever.

Anybody have a direct link to the updater .dmg or .sit file? I have a full, purchased copy, I just hate *having* to register with roxio for a bug fix.
