PAULSRANDALL PackRat appears to be for Intel, only. I have version 1.6 on OS X 10.4.11 on a PowerPC and it works fine. This version (1.6.2) crashes because the Growl-WithInstaller Framework is found, but for the wrong architecture. This is according to CrashReporter. (Version 1.6.2)
PAULSRANDALL This update appears to work with Leopard. It crashes immediately on a PowerPC running Tiger 10.4.11. A re-install of version 1.3.1 works fine in Tiger. (Version 1.3.2)
PAULSRANDALL I just tried this on one of the supported sites (Flickr) and it is just great. Hold your mouse pointer over a photo and a You Tube type control will appear on the photo. Click it it and you have it! (Version 1.5.10)
PAULSRANDALL I simply do not see the point of the negative review. I downloaded QuitsApps and made a donation. It does exactly what I want it to do and does it well. I use it to kill everything before I run a Retrospect backup because this application takes over my computer when it runs. Backups complete much faster, saving me lots of time. (Version 1.0.5)
PAULSRANDALL I was having trouble with all of the 2.0x versions of OSS 3D and found a solution after I uninstalled version 2.03 without reinstalling. I found that the OSS 3D Daemon was installed in /Library/StartItems/ and never uninstalled with the OSS 3D Uninstaller. I deleted it the folder from StartupItems.
Today I installed OSS 3D 2.04 and everything works great. I noticed that the OSS 3D Daemon is now in Application Support/OSS 3D.
If you are having problems, make sure that an old version of the OSS 3D Daemon is not in StartupItems. (Version 2.04)
PAULSRANDALL Why don't you just buy the thing and just be done with it. It's great software and Dave deserves to get paid for his efforts. (Version 1.0)
PAULSRANDALL Great job! Chris also stayed on my problem, as well, and I couldn't be happier. I particularly like books because of all of its very useful plug-in modules. (Version 3.0a14)
PAULSRANDALL I went back to version 2.3.3 beta because the last several 3.0 alpha releases crash short after the application has launched. My crash report has lots of the following line. I mean lots.
CJKARR Give Smart Crash Reports an install (http://www.unsanity.com/smartcrashreports/) and run the app again. When it crashes, send me the crash report so I can track down the problem. (Version 3.0a14)
PAULSRANDALL How do you get this to work? It runs an endless loop trying to install the Dynamic Libraries. They never install making it impossible to launch D-Vision. Fix it and I can rate it. (Version 3.2.1)
PAULSRANDALL Version 2.5.2.1 is not new. I have been using this version since July 2005. It is just great… one of the best pieces of software that I have ever downloaded. (Version 2.5.2.1)
ALEKSI STRANDBERG It does play them. You just need to update to latest version of Quicktime. (Version 1.7.8)
