PATDDFAN1 Fire is the best IM program on the planet! I hope someone will take over Fire because adium will never be as great as fire has been since 2004! we will miss fire, and are deeply saddened that it had to leave so abruptly! (Version 1.5.6)

PATDDFAN1 This is an essential tool for any mac user! it rocks, and I hope apple one day integrates a similar feature into 10.6 or 10.5! Also, I hope that there will be integration with Fire, Cabos, firefox, cabos, and software update in the future, and please update support for iChat as it no longer does anything! they need more customizations though! :) (Version 0.7.6)

PATDDFAN1 Yahoo has just posted a new version for Mac OS X, and it is somewhat of a ripoff of Adium (except it doesn't support AIM/ICQ, Google, or MySpace!) I think that Fire will need to get up to speed if they still want to be the best IM app for mac! (Version 1.5.6)

Yahoo! Messenger | Jul 13 2006 |
PATDDFAN1 This is a long overdue update to Yahoo IM, but it is very similar to Adium (except that you can't talk to anyone using AIM, and MSN messenger support is coming soon!) otherwise, it is good that Yahoo finally updated the Mac version. the PC version has more features, so there will probably be several updates coming soon, cause Mac users still can't access yahoo's "chat room" function, and it will also need to be universal (ppc/intel) before they can call it Yahoo Messenger 3.0! (Version 3.0b1)

MYSTICALOS it already is universal. And the MSn live feature is already working in this beta. Once it went live server side it started working in 3.0b1. All you do is click the link on the add friends dialog to activate feature by signing up for beta. (Version 3.0b1)

MACAST | Jun 17 2006 |
PATDDFAN1 This doesn't exist on the web anymore because the company is out of business! but, the Lite version is now freeware for OS X if u want it. If I can ever get my old mac to work again, I will post MacAST 1.0 (1.0.1 only played 30 second clips) on the web for download! but for now, I will contact the current owners of MacAST Lite to see if they have a copy! thanks! PATDDFAN1 I have used Adium, Yahoo IM, MSN IM, Fire, and iChat, but Fire is the best IM app for Mac! I just wish there was a version for my older macs (OS 7.1!) Anyways, my problem.... well, every once in a while, Fire slows up my machine, and then unexpectedly quit. I'm able to reload, but it has happened many times when I have Fire and Safari running at the same time. any advice? Also, can you enter any of Yahoo's chat rooms on a mac, or is that only on windows? finally, there needs to be a way to read names from the address book (like iChat can) in the next version (and it should still run on 10.3 as well!) I am using an iBook G4 with OS 10.3.9! (Version 1.5.6)

PATDDFAN I hate it because the newest version is only compatible with 10.4 or higher and I only have 10.3.9 currently! also, there needs to be a way to schedule the tasks to run without manually having to tell it to run the events! (Version 1.6.1)

VLC Media Player | Jul 7 2005 |
PATDDFAN This Video Player rocks! Plays 99% of all quicktime files that won't work with Quicktime Player 7, but it needs to support the same features that Quicktime player does before I officially replace quicktime player! also, needs to support Real Player files, and fully support Windows Media Player files before it is the best media player for Mac! (Version 0.8.2)

Apple Address Book Importer | Jun 14 2005 |
PATDDFAN if you have an email account that has a way to export your address book (Yahoo! does) then export it to an LDIF file or Vcard file. these are the two ways to import your web-based address book! (Version 1.0)

PATDDFAN Anyone know of a program that will convert Windows Media Player Video/Audio and Real Audio/Video? these two applications are quite crappy, but I'd prefer to use Quicktime Player or VLC to view them! they would also work on my dvd player if I had them in MPEG format! (Version 1.0)

PATDDFAN I don't believe that such a program exists yet, but when it does, then it will be in mega trouble with Real networks for creating it! (Version 1.0)
