OUTER  Crashes on PPC Launch

Version 2.6 crashes on launch. Version 2.5 works fine.

Leopard v10.5.8 (9L30) PPC.

It seems to be expecting JAVA 1.6, but for 10.5.8 that's only available (from Apple, at any rate) for 64-bit Intel architectures. Sadness.

OUTER  Once you get through how to register and pay in Japanese, the biggest problem is how to get yourself removed from their Japanese mailing list ... still working on that one.

It _is_ real MahJong, albeit with its own somewhat inflexible scoring system - but hey! - that's what distinguishes one MahJong parlor from another, after all.

OUTER  The original M0ire defined an entire Mac generation. This brings me back to my sometime youth, when I chose Mac over PC as my personal platform, before I'd purchased my first share of Apple stock. Bravo!

Add to that the fact the developer took the trouble to get the blessing of the original authour even though his was a black-box re-implementation.

Minus a fraction of a decimal point for the normalised name: M0ire, not Moire.

Compared to such modern things as G-Force there really is no comparison. That's not the point. For preserving of one of the primaeval beauties of the Macintosh platform, 9.99 out of 10.

OUTER  TiPb 500, Tiger 10.4.4, 1G RAM

1) Remove Languages runs forever, at combined CPU utilisation on an otherwise quiet system of 36%, with no apparent disk activity (as viewed from Application Monitor) and no files moved to Trash.

2) Cancelling Remove, and then quitting Monolingual, does NOT kill the underlying Monolingual Helper UNIX(tm) process (had to use Terminal "sudo kill -9 pid). Helper process without parent continues running across sleep.

3) No apparent after effects from 1) and 2).

4) Remove Input Methods works as promised.

5) Have not dared to try remove Architectures.

This version seems a few fries short of a Happy Meal(tm) on my system.
