QLab | Oct 16 2008 |
ORGANIK As the first paying customer for the pro version I can tell you nothing is as powerful as this app for sound playback on the mac. I have used it for years and countless productions and it has never failed - not once. Better than SFX, by far. Worth buying a Mac for if you don't already have one! From community theatre to broadway, QLab has made life much easier for countless audio engineers and sound designers. (Version 1.3.5)

ORGANIK A $20 shareware app that does less than QLab does for free. QLab is also extremely easy to use & supports multiple outputs. (Version 1.2.4)

Apple Mac OS X | Sep 15 2008 |
ORGANIK Well, on my Mac Pro, Finder is crashing constantly after the update. Don't really know what to do to fix it other than clean install. Great. (Version 10.5.5)

ORGANIK Tried it out, the software is great. Although if the price were $100 or less the market would be many many times larger. I won't pay more than $100. (Version 3.0.5)

ORGANIK On my Mac Pro, it's great, works fine under leopard. On my MacBook Pro, crashes every app when I go for the Apple menu (well, every app except system preferences for some reason). So for now, it's not so great. (Version 3.7b1)

GroupCal | Oct 29 2007 |
ORGANIK All of these good reviews are obviously from people who have not used groupcal for very long. The app used to barely work at all in it's early days, and now I'm told it won't be until 1st quarter 2008 before it's Leopard compatible! This is totally unacceptable. Will some decent developer please make an app to sync exchange to iCal? Please? One that actually works and is updated to work with OS updates within a couple weeks instead of months...or longer... (Version 3.94)

CROW Indeed, I must agree that I am very disappointed that GroupCal has not yet been made Leopard-compatible. Having paid for the software, I expect much better support than this. (Version 3.94)

Lotto Sorcerer | Aug 11 2007 |
ORGANIK A lot of people don't get the purpose of this app, and don't get that gambling is about the fun of chance. Of course it doesn't really work, but if it makes the lottery FEEL like there's a way to cheat it - then it's worth every penny. And, statistically some numbers DO come up more often or less often than others, just check calottery.com - they'll gladly give you all the stats you want, because they know it doesn't make any difference. Is it worse to throw away some cash on this app if it makes you feel like you''ve got better odds than it is to play the lottery in the first place? I think not. (Version 6.9)

XHub Media Center | Jun 11 2007 |
ORGANIK Well, although this is the best looking media center app for the Mac, it's still completely useless. Froze during an attempt to view movie trailers, no way out except to HARD POWER DOWN! Bad...bad...bad....avoid until it's an actual app that can be force quit via command-opt-escape like everything else can. Still waiting for a decent media center app for mac.... (Version 2.0)

Sorry to hear about your crash. It sounds likely that it was caused by (the old) Clicker remote rather than by XHub itself. Perhaps you forgot to install the new remote for XHub 2.0? As I told you once before, here, and as is clearly stated in the documentation, you can force quit XHub at anytime with Command+Option+Q. If you prefer to be able to force quit it like visible applications, making a daemon process appear in the Dock is very simple. Just drop me a line and I will be happy to help you. PS. It is generally a better idea to file a bug report than posting a review at some third-party site. Chances are we may not see it. (Version 2.0)

ORGANIK Runs great on my MacBook Pro. Crashes constantly on my dual 2ghz G5. So, mixed feelings. Exactly what I need, but needs to uh... not crash. (Version 1.2)

Apple Front Row | Sep 17 2006 |
ORGANIK I cannot read the names of MANY of my files because the font size is just too big. Many PC home theater apps have the file name scroll if it is too large to be displayed. I can't play my media if I don't know what I'm playing! Media Central also suffers from this problem. Any solutions out there? (Version 1.3)

I can't play my media if I don't know what I'm playing! Front Row also suffers from this problem. One more thing - the interface for media central is just, well, ugly. Many of the competing mac home theater apps just look much nicer (even if they are feature limited). (Version 2.2)

XHub Media Center | Sep 12 2006 |
ORGANIK Well, I think it's the best looking of the media center apps, but that's about it. Scans movie folder for compatible vid files, then displays those in a list - not good! I put my vids in a folder structure for a reason, give me my folder structure! Also, it needs to be an actual app, not a pref pane. Froze and I couldn't force quit it...had to hard power cycle. One more thing - iPhoto browsing is broken: selecting an album displays photos from the whole library. I think with some work this will be a great app, for now it's front row for me. SNARB Hello, and thanks for your feedback. Your folder request will be considered. Also, believe it or not, you can force quit XHub at any time with Cmd+Q. (Version 0.9.7b)

IP Scanner | Aug 21 2006 |
ORGANIK IP Scanner is great, but I would NEVER pay $25 for something like this. $10 and I'll buy immediately. Until then, it's Bonjour Browser for me. (Version 1.6.3)

ORGANIK It would be great if instead of creating a text file, these songs could be automatically added to the itunes library - then I could use cronnix to run the script and make sure my library is always up to date! (Version 1.2)

XBOXDRUGGIE I agree 100%!! On better theory I'd rather be presented with a list of songs with a check box to choose which are added and which aren't! Maybe this request will be made soon :) (Version 1.2)
