NOSTAWS  Worked for me without any problem

Recently, some jpg and mpg files were deleted from a memory stick. I was able to recover them without any problem. It was a very simple process. Didn't alter the contents on the card at all.

Also, a while back I used it to recover images from an sd card. I was surprised at what images were recovered. Images that were considerably old, and I hadn't used in months were still recovered.

I didn't read any readme files or instruction manuals. There was nothing to figure out: very straight-forward.

Most recently it seemed to hang after all the files were recovered, and it began an optional renaming process of the files. But the files had already been recovered, and I kept the assigned names. For me that doesn't negate the value of the product.

I have never used the product to recover files from an actual hard disk, or to recover nikon raw format images.

NOSTAWS  I created a macupdate account just so I could comment on this app. It is great! There are a lot of EXIF data "viewing" apps. But few to EDIT the EXIF data.

This that do exist require the command line. Reaveal is not a command line tool. It has a GUI.

Simply changing the creation date with File Buddy or another app DOES NOT change the EXIF data. The "photo taken date" remains the same (in the EXIF).

I have Kodak cameras and this allows me to change the date and other info when I forget to reset the date after charging the battery.

One flaw is the inability to do several photos at once.
