NIGHTHAWK090 I am a little confused about the product...you have two options to buy (first time buyer here), the product, and product with subscription (which gives you upgrades for 12 months)...soooo, am I right in thinking that if you don't buy the subscription you get no upgrades?? CARLOS-SZ As far as I understand the product with subscription will guarantee Fusion 4.0 if it is released within the 12 months subscription. Personally, I see no reason to buy the subscription right now, one day after the release. (Version 3.0)

VMware Fusion | Oct 29 2009 |
PONY Call me skeptical, but if they are offering a subscription you can guarantee version 4 will not ship within 12 months. Version 2 of this product was discounted here a little while back, and VMWare ensured anyone who bought the discounted version would not be eligible for a free upgrade - they set the cut off date for free upgrades to just after the promotion finished here. Of course this fact wasn't noted in the promotion, and was announced after the promotion had finished and many had bought a version that was 'obsolete' just a few days later. I'd skip the subscription all together. (Version 3.0)

NIGHTHAWK090 Yes, motion detection would be great.....wondering what the response would be, am thinking about buying it now, but having screenshots at wide intervals might miss something, taking screenshots in small intervals takes up too much space/bandwidth.........no motion detection to get only what I need to see that is moving in front of my computer/in the room is making me lean away from purchase at this time...... NIGHTHAWK090 What are the Lineform developers doing? January 7, 2009, I wrote about a bug that will not allow you to undo (in v 1.5). Their response was: "We have fixed this in the new update that will be released shortly, but in the meanwhile you can use the following as a workaround. First, create a new blank document and save, then quit Lineform and reopen by double clicking the new blank document." On April 7, 2009, while expressing my frustration with the "undo" still not being fixed (v 1.5) to the company in a support email, I received the following: "To regain your undo function create a new blank document and save it. Quit Lineform and reopen it by double clicking on the newly created blank document. This will be fixed in the latest update." Now, it is June 6, 2009, we are still using version 1.5, with the same bug, and no update to fix it that was due shortly in January, 2009. Very frustrating, buyer beware......are they still developing the program? (Version 1.5)

NIGHTHAWK090 I would second this....initially thought was a good piece of software, and is to a great extent, but the company has been aware for some time of a bug that causes "undo" to not work. They promised a fix in 1.5.1, quite some time ago. Major bug, no intermediate fix. No response to email stating (appropriate) frustration with lack of attention to getting the product with a major flaw like that addressed. Quit using the program, and moved on to something else. I wouldn't venture here unless the company expresses an interest in fixing issues as needed in an appropriate timeframe and commits to development/improvement. (Version 1.5)

NIGHTHAWK090 Nice program....one thing I feel that is missing is a "skew" or free transform tool, seem to use it quite a bit in most of my other programs.......add that, it has my vote. If it is there, can't find it.....just find an angle option. (Version 1.4.9)

NIGHTHAWK090 Looks interesting, and promising....one thing I cannot locate (if it is an option) is where I want screenshots or pictures taken to be stored.....would be a very nice feature if not already there. Still haven't found the pics.......off to test some more.... (Version 1.0)

NIGHTHAWK090 Looks promising, like the environment; however, seemed to have one issue that makes it hard to evaluate....once I put an item on the canvas I cannot seem to be able to select just that item and move it around the canvas.......am I doing something wrong? Seems the only way to do that is put each item on a different layer and "select all"...... (Version 1.0)

NIGHTHAWK090 I hope that apple monitors these reviews....I am particularly disappointed....I had Mac OSX 10.4, up to 10.4.11.....had a "panic" that i was not able to recover from, and, using my install disk that came with the computer, was able to install 10.4.7 but was never able to upgrade past 10.4.8 without error. Zeroed out the computer and purchased 10.5.1, thinking a clean start may be the way. Nothing but unscheduled shutdowns, error on automatic updates, errors on downloaded package updates, and a general inability to do anything without some sort of issue....all hardware checks have been fine.....hadn't touched a PC for 1.5 years, now so disappointed am thinking about going back.......am trying to download manual update now (third try) as computer keeps "panic" and asks for restart each time. This is after I had to use Time Machine to restore due to the update (10.5.3) creating a the computer "freeze" listed above. (Version 10.5.3)

ILOVEMYMAC I am a Certified Apple tech, but I don't work for Apple. Even though all your hardware checks out fine, it sounds like that your hard drive may be going bad. I have seen more hard drives go bad in so many different ways then you would think. It is the #1 part to go bad in any computer, which is why I always say "Backup your data. Back it up anyway you can". And the errors you are saying you are getting, sounds like a bad hard drive to me. You might think about getting it replaced. But that's just my professional opinion. You could try running TechTool on it. TechTool will tell you if your hard drive is going bad about 90% of the time. If it comes up with "bad blocks" then your hard drive is bad. (Version 10.5.3)

TaskTime4 | Mar 4 2008 |
NIGHTHAWK090 When you first open the program and select a project, the "total" column only shows "to" and half of the second t. If you select to organize by total, then the whole word shows, but the numbers align to what appears to be a small column (or artifact, aligned right) with the numbers to the right of the decimal aligned under that column. It appears it may be an artifact from the bar---it appears on all screens.... sessions, expense, flat rate, invoice...you can see the artifact in line with the column titles, and is especially obvious on the invoice screen. NIGHTHAWK090 New version looks nice, would like to see ability to add several other payments other than just the credit option....have several "pay a little here, a little there" customers as the project continues....Other thing I noticed is the numbers don't line up flush in the total column (at first open of update cut off part of the second t and the "al" in total. Other than that wish, I love the program!!!!! Easy, intuitive, streamlined..... (Version 4.4)
