Ditto, but I'm now downloading version 2.6 and will see if it's fixed. |

I sure wish this worked without Jailbreaking. There are other utilities that include that functionality, but I don't want to pay $40+ just for note-syncing. |

I also got that error once, but it worked on the second try. |

I don't understand which is newer/better. I have the 2.2.0.49b build from when it was available. Am I supposed to "upgrade" to 2.2.0.39b? |

You don't even need to use crons if you don't want to - just set an iCal alarm to fire an AppleScript. |

This is really neato. Would it be possible to have some sort of auto-forward if I accidentally type http://[my ip]:5010 instead of https://[my ip]:5010? |

I was considering getting the promo, but I felt that I needed to try the demo first. I have never installed or tried TransLucy before, but on first launch, it still told me that the demo expired, followed by two more error messages. This is not enough to convince me to buy it. |

All rightee, I tried again, and the company wrote back and updated my license this time. The newer beta also seems to work, mostly, as expected on Leopard. The developer is actually specifically asking people to post positive experiences here, so he is apparently concerned about all the negative comments, even though he doesn't seem to be posting here himself. |

Am I really the only one who is having tremendous problems with Speed Download under Leopard?? It simply quits without warning over and over, sometimes staying open for only a few seconds before it crashes AGAIN. I have updated to the latest version, run the "compatibility script," and re-installed the latest version, and none of this fixed the problems. |

I'm also getting worried about this... Leopard indeed breaks FLVR 1.x, and Tasty's site indicates that we can request a free upgrade to FLVR 2.0 beta to fix the problem. But they do not respond to requests for the upgrade, and I am also not able to get FLVR 2.0 (demo) to work anyway. FLVR does seem to be partially delisted from their main site. |

I agree, this product is spiraling downward. It doesn't seem to have ever worked right with Boot Camp or Vista, and in fact it can easily damage your installation to the point that Boot Camp doesn't even work the normal way anymore. In other words, you have less than you had before you bought the program. I've paid for it twice now since the 3.x upgrade wasn't free, but it has still been a very long time since they made a version that actually worked. They are on the brink of being eclipsed by VMWare if/when they finish development of their new Mac version, and I think, at this point, it is actually better to have no virtualization software at all than to have Parallels, since all it does is damage your system. |

I'm trying to figure out if this program is the cause of a particular issue that I've just identified. If you are using Screenography and your disk space seems to be vanishing, you might try opening the Terminal and typing cd ~/Desktop; rm ./.QT* I can't 100% guarantee that this won't delete any data you actually needed, but I'm pretty sure it is just partially cached data that was never fully processed. |

HOW MUCH does this service actually cost?? Even after ooking all over the official site, including the "Price Plans" page, I can't find any info whatsoever about pricing. If they are being this cagey, it makes me worry that it might be a scam. |

I agree with the original poster. Although there are people who use their computers in different ways, I don't know of anyone who just instinctively keeps hitting modifier keys and can't remember to drag the title bar instead. The Zooom method is actually less convenient than the regular method, since it requires both the mouse and the keyboard. |

I love the program, but the latest version is really, really messed up... clicking on "Process" just makes it get stuck, forever doing nothing. |

I have nothing against this program, but will MU Promos ever have a program that people actually, well, care about? I want a deal on Parallels or Flip4Mac! :) |

Tiger has it built-in for many apps - just hit option+escape. I'm not saying this is as full-featured as TypeIt4Me may be, but it's obviously the easiest if you already have it. |

Yes, or you could even do it with iCal and AppleScript without adding any software at all. |

Here's a free one http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/16913 $15 for this is a joke, especially since Apple stopped using crummy passive matrix displays years ago. Cursor "submarining" is practically a thing of the past. |

You're right, it's Sega. But I wonder if the developer might be using ZeroLink in Xcode? ZeroLink causes crash on launch for Intel Macs, whenever I use it. Although the game doesn't claim to be Intel compatible, if the developer disables the ZeroLinker, it might help. |

A dictionary limited to just A-D is not useful to anyone. This does not merit a separate listing as a "Lite" version - it is just a crippled demo. Kind of a shame, too, since it is an interesting idea. |

You don't even have to do that - just write an AppleScript like: say "this is text" saving as "Macintosh HD:Neat file.aiff" (No "tell" statement needed - the "say" command is in Standard Additions.) |

Doesn't appear to support straight FLV files, though, regardless of what file extension they are named with. There is one FLV Player for Mac OS X, but it is hard to find and slightly buggy. |

It's not exactly right to say that it supports all the formats that QuickTime does. DRMed videos from iTunes (.m4v) actually play just fine in regular QuickTime Player, assuming they are licensed correctly for your machine. (You can try it if you don't believe me!) This program can't play them. I'm a semi-pro developer, and I understand why it is difficult to support DRMed videos. I really just want to be able to make my iTunes videos "float" so they will stay in front (preferably translucently) while I do other things. iTunes can't float, movie-floater programs can't play iTunes files (with DRM), and this can't do either... sigh. I understand that this was not really the purpose of this individual program. This is more of a general comment about what I'd like to see, not an attack on anyone. |

Oh sorry. I'm actually a CyberDuck user, and I really like it. It's just that normally it is preferable to remove dependencies on products not everyone has in favor of products that everyone does have. I can see how it would be different for the developer, though. |

Whoops, sorry, two corrections: -put a space before the POSIX path in the script -actually, the server name ending in slash is not required, though it doesn't hurt anything either. |

@Developer: Presuming you're doing this with AppleScript, you could remove the dependence on CyberDuck with something like do shell script "ftp -i -u ftp://" & userName & ":" & password & "@" & ftpSiteName & POSIX path of myFileAlias" as string -where userName and password are variables you define for the FTP server's login, ftpSiteName is something like "ftp.apple.com/" (MUST end in slash, or add & "/" to the code), and myFileAlias is an alias to the file you want to upload. |

I've had a longstanding problem that I finally tracked back to this program... I call it "iTunes sinking," where sometimes, when you hide the iTunes window when switching to another application - and then you can never get the window to show again no matter what you do, even though iTunes has not crashed and can be sent AppleScript commands. If you are having this issue, turn off OS9 Window Behavior in X-Assist. I'm glad I didn't have to get rid of the program altogether - I still really like it. I'm just posting this in case others are having this problem. |

Okay, I tried it and it said my model is not supported. But I'm still pretty sure there was never a 12" Titanium. I'm confused. |

The Apple site also says "Titanium 12" PowerBook." There was never a 12" Titanium PowerBook. It should say 12" Aluminum - which is what I have. I'm scared to install this, but I think I will anyway. |
