NEILATKINSON Installed ok but like others on here, just keep getting the assistant when I try and launch the apps. Thank god I had the previous version on a backup drive. Way to go, Microsoft. (Version 12.1)
PEACHTREECITY At least you can get to actually installing the updates. I, too, own a legal copy of MSOffice 2008 and I'm still being told that update cannot find my installation (yes, installed to default location, typical installation). This will be the last time I purchase a MS program. (Version 12.1)
NEILATKINSON Having the, until yesterday, top of the range 24" 2.8ghz iMac, I thought that this update would be for me but on opening it tells me its not required. What iMacs does is affect?? (Version 1.0.1)
MACMODELA I thought so as well, with the same system. However I let Software update dictate which updates are for my iMac, MB and G4. This one did not show.
This doesn't answer your question, but should give you confidence in that message. Apparently it is the 2600 PRO card, which we do not have. (Version 1.0.1)
NEILATKINSON Well I have a MacBook Pro 2.16ghz Core Duo 15" and the firmware updater ran fine with no problems. (You do have to reboot after the updater has finished.)
I used to experience problems where applications like Toast couldn't see my Superdrive and I would have to reboot. Too early to say if this has cured it but here's hoping. (Version 2.1)
