ANONYMOUS  Hi, it is not running with PPC by mistake, posted the debug version instead of the production version. It is not any wrapper, written from scratch.

MUTZIE  It runs on PPC.

If you use musicdaemoncontroller.app to launch it it will quit automatically.

Solution:

right click on musicdaemoncontroller.app

show package contents, browse to the resources folder right click musicdaemon and choose to start it with terminal.

Probably something wrong with the jumper executable on PPC.

MUTZIE  The developer could and should state on his website that the demo is as useless as a car without keys... it's nowhere on the product page. You can look at the nice graphs of your partitions offcourse...

CHRISWAN  It would not make sense for iPartition to use the "time limited full functionality" demo scheme, as people would only use it once, and not need to pay for it at all

The same goes to their other product iDefrag, altough in iDefrag case people more likely to defrag their HDD in the future

I'm sure you're an honest person; Unfortunately not all people like you, many of them like to abuse developers whenever possible...

SHOTGUNWEDDINGS  The only question here is the honesty of the developer and their business practices.

Without a demo there is no way to test the product plain and simple.

Treating all customers like criminals is not a way to earn anyones trust nor a way to entice new customers.

For that alone made me purchase Drive Genius 2, instead of being suckered into a one-trick pony like iDefrag and iPartition, I bought a whole suite of tools that includes both that are separate products offered from this developer at a much better price.

And I was treated with respect as a customer should be when I purchased Drive Genius 2 not as a criminal by this sorry excuse of a company.

I will never ever purchase or use another product from this insane developer.
