Menufela
Jan 25 2007

MUNEY  with menufela running, when I try to use the "open" command from the terminal window, I get an error. this is even for applications that I've disabled. e.g. if I try to open a pdf document (which on my system calls preview), I get

% open tmp.pdf

RegisterProcess failed (error = -2805)

Abort

%

This happens for all applications it seems. I'm running menufela 1.5 on OS x 10.4.8 with the latest updates. I can open files by clicking on them with no problem, it's just the "open" command that seems to have a problem.

MailTags
Jan 8 2007

MUNEY  I tried mailtags 2.0b5 extensively for the last two days, during which mail.app exhibited the following atypicaly behavior:

1. hanging forever, with activity window showing "sorting messages".

2. loss of messages, when dragging-and-dropping messages between folders (esp. messages with attachments)

3. crashing several times during processing of keyword updates to many messages....

4. inaccurate searches and smart folders -- both false positives and false negatives -- using keywords as search criteria.

I'd really like to use this product, but not with these problems! Am looking forward to a stable version.

Mail.appetizer
Sep 29 2006

MUNEY  I installed mail.appetizer and enabled it through the mail pref. pane, but nothing happens when I get new mail.. no notification comes up. I tried various settings to no avail.

I was using two screens but tried also with just my laptop. I have a Powerbook G4 running latest version of tiger. Am using IMAP mailboxes with mail being sent by my mail filter rules from my inbox to other IMAP folders.. I disabled all other mail plugins, that didn't help.
