Yep
Sep 26 2009

MSL  I could not agree more - removing the PDF viewer from Yep 2.0 destroys the utility of the application for me. Although I've received a free update to Yep 2.0, I will definitely not be upgrading. Hopefully the developers will come to their senses and restore the PDF viewer before the final version is released.

CanoScan Toolbox
Sep 17 2009

MSL  I've never had problems with this software - its working fine for me on OS X 10.5.8 with both a CanoScan 9950F and a CanoScan LiDE 60 (I have drivers for both scanners installed on the same machine).

MailSteward

MSL  Buyer BEWARE that this developer rips off customers by charging for what were supposed to be free upgrades!

You can even listen to the developer himself (set to music no less) lying about his upgrade policy here:

http://s3.amazonaws.com/mypodpromo/mspromo.mp3

"My policy has been that all registered users get free upgrades"

Yeah right.

MailSteward
Apr 29 2008

MSL  Although MailSteward is a fine product, it is unfortunate that the developer has chosen to deceive customers by continuing to state on his website that "Upgrades to new versions are free for all registered users of MailSteward" when nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, registered users of previous versions are required to pay $20 to upgrade to version 8.0 (which in my opinion is nothing more than a maintenance release). Further, the confirmation email I received when I purchased MailSteward in Nov 2006 stated:

"This email is to confirm the receipt of your recent order. If you ordered the full version of MailSteward, you are entitled to free upgrades. Save the order number in the subject of this email. By going to www.mailsteward.com/registered.html, and entering your first & last names & the order number, you can always download the latest version."

Yeah right.
