MRONSETH  Fantastic app, but crashes a lot when browsing my Nokia 6110 Navigator.

Also - where's the map section? I cannot seem to administer my maps...

FUELLEMANN  Hi,

please do not forget to contact our support at mac@novamedia.de for help. For the crashes, please see if you have the latest firmware installed on the Nokia, older ones tend to be unstable.

You can exclude the maps from the automatic backups in the "phone settings".

Thank you

Path Finder
Feb 2 2007

MRONSETH  Let me specify: starting up is very slow - some 40+ bounces on both my MBP and my 2x2GHz G5 - i's the slowest startup I've ever had.

Also, when deleting a file, it takes up to 5 secs before it appears in the wastebin.

Not major, true, but unnecessary none the less. It makes an otherwise gem of an app seem sluggish and unresponsive.

But, as I said, I LOVE the functionality, easily beats the crap out of the Finder.

MRONSETH  Beatiful GUI, unbeatable functionality.

But, oh so slow in startup and operation...:-(

I really hope they speed it up, because I love this app!

TIMSTRINGER  In my experience, Path Finder is actually very quick. I'd recommend contacting their Technical Support to see what might be causing the slow-down.

MRONSETH  In Codetek terms, 5 months is "soon".

I think I waited 18 months for version 3.2 (if memory serves me right, it was a looooooong wait)

MRONSETH  I said 9 months ago. That'd be BEFORE December 2005. Roughly 9 or 10 months...

I tested my license on the site and was told "not elligible".

So there.

MRONSETH  9 months ago I bought DVDRemaster 2.

So, naturally, I thought there was an upgradepath to version 3. Not so.

I have to shell out 40 bucks to buy it all over again. Not very likely.

From now on it's DVD2OneX - period.

:-(

MRONSETH  Don't holde your breath. This thing is one of the best little productivity apps ever, but their development cycle - not to mention customer support - leaves a LOT to be desired. Unfortunately. I reckon we could have an Intel version later this year or maybe beginning 2007. If ever..

SmartSVN

MRONSETH  Looks very promising!

The GUI (especially the settings dialogues and the file system browser) could be more intuitive and OSX like, but it certainly does handle SVN very well.

Now, if only I could figure out how to make it open documents in BBEdit when doubleclicked... I only get a text window with no document inside :-(

ALANR  I had no problem getting the file(s) to open in BBEdit.

First off, make sure the BBEdit command line tool is installed. (Sounds like you have)

Then in SmartSVN's preferences for External Tools I just entered bbedit as the command. Basically I copied the default and simply changed usr/bin/open to bbedit leaving all else the same.

Then I bumped my new variation to the top of the list.
