MPRESS  I am also experiencing the Macgamestore/Key Code problem. I am always having to register the product over and over again.

Very annoying. Great program and game. But VERY annoying.

MPRESS  It's silly for people to think Apple is making money off of .99 ringtones. This charge is from the music company because laws and contracts are in place for songs to be charged in different mediums. RIngtones fit this definition. If Apple doesn't want to be sued by the music industry and the artists, it must charge for the use of ringtones. Plain and simple.

MPRESS  I paid it, though slightly overpriced I think. Perhaps now that the "loyalists" have plopped down their money, a credit will be given once the price is dropped. ;-}

Very good software and thanks for the quick turnaround after the iTunes update!

MPRESS  Absolutely fantastic! Performs easily and excellently, just like iSquint. The learning curve is basically zero, just like all Mac programs should be. Drag/drop/click.

Kudos!

MPRESS  I love these! Would love to see more with the other Mac apps, such as:

Mail

iMovie

iWeb

As well as Word and other common ones...

MPRESS  There's a button in emails that does this. Am I missing something?

SJJ_PUBLIC  You would think there would be a button to send the photos in an email message to iPhoto, but there isn't in Mail.app. The only built-in way to do it is to start a slideshow, then use the controls there to send the photos to iPhoto, albeit one photo at a time. You could also save all the photos to a folder, then drag them to iPhoto, but you have to drag to iPhoto's Library icon - you can't even drag onto iPhoto's icon, plus then you have to manually trash all the originals since they are copied into iPhoto's library. This script is intended to make the job much easier and quicker. Selecta message in Mail.app (or open a message containing photos) and run the script, click and button and you're done. You can also select multiple messages in Mail.app and send all of the photos in all of the messages to iPhoto at once. It is smart enough to only pull out images from the selected messages, ignoring any other attachments and messages without any photos in them.

SULEIMAN  that's bizarre, my Mail.app has an "Add to iPhoto" button if i hold down the Save button. It appears at the very bottom of the list.

SJJ_PUBLIC  Well, I'll be! I didn't even know you could get that to act like a menu! So, yeah, I suppose the usefulness of this is lessened as a result, although it may still be useful when you want to send photos from multiple messages to iPhoto.

SWEIN  Even tho this is rolled into Mail, you can also make the same functionality with Automator:

1) Get selected Mail Items

2) Save Image Attachments

3) Import into iPhoto

SJJ_PUBLIC  One of the first things I tried to do when I wanted to automate this task was to try Automator, but in it I didn't find an action allowing you do anything with attachments other than to add attachments to messages. The ones I see under Mail are: Get new Mail, Get Specified Mail Items, Combine Mail Messages, Display Mail Messages, Send Outgoing Messages, Add Attachments to, Filter Mail Items, Find Mail Items, Get Selected Mail Items, Group Mailer, New Mail Message and Send Birthday Greeting. There is no "Save Image attachments". I presume I'm again missing something?

TICOUT  I try the click save to iPhoto technique. Is it something that Panther 10.3.9 would support?

SJJ_PUBLIC  Ticout - if 10.3.9's Mail.app doesn't have that feature, then perhaps Send Photos to iPhoto will still have a life for that. However, I currently have no systems with 10.3.9 installed on them to test it out to see if it even works! So, I would be very interested to hear if 10.3.9 has the built-in send to iPhoto feature, and if not, if my script works.

SJJ_PUBLIC  Thanks for the report. When I find some time I'm going to install 10.3.9 on a firewire drive and will try to get this script working there. I'm still a bit proud of the mechanics of the script, and it would certainly be good to have substantial use *somewhere*. :)

MPRESS  On launch, it asks for my password and then I get no window. It's as if it is invisible.

Help?
