MONKEYSCAN  I can't download this, because the developer page is down or something. I would really like to try this program, it sounds really cool, please let me know if there is a way to get this

MONKEYSCAN  This is an OK program, but if you want something even better, you can get blender, i think blender is a really good program, blender.org

JETFIREDX  If you want something powerful, free, and EXTREMELY difficult to learn to use, get Blender. I would recommend Wings (Wings3D.com) for something that is easy to learn (though not at all Mac like) that is also free and has some good renderer plugins.

Cheetah3D and Silo I have found are also easy to pick up and learn. Silo is especially nice because the entire UI is able to be set up to fit your workflow. (I actually cloned Wings' interface with little work.) These aren't free however.

OSXRULZ  Well, there is this thing called personal preference. Maybe you've heard of it?

Some people would probably rather not have their menu bar cluttered with menu extras. You know, just sayin.

DCHAMMER  It's also handy in the instance that you are dealing with multiple networks that have the same name within the same vicinity. The menu bar options only will show one of them. This way you can specify which one to connect to.

Additionally you can see signal strength.

CHRISTOPH VOGELBUSCH  The latest version comes with an installer. it checks wether you have iVisualize installed or not. That way you wont have any trouble in the future.
