MLILBACK  I used to use Deskshade, but it has gotten way to complicated for just displaying an empty background for screen shots. Same with Camouflage.

Backdrop does what it says and I can't imagine how it could be done any better.

MARK  WARNING!! This script quits Safari without warning and includes no documentation. I had at least 10 tabs open to important stuff and know I've got to dig through my history to figure out what I was going to complete later (including a store order I was placing).

It also comes on a stuffed disk image, which is stupid for a 60K applescript.

There are plenty of other tools and instructions on how to turn on the debug menu. Try one of them.

BERNARDLINDE  Also have the experience of Safari quitting unexpectedly after installing this script. Any idea how to "uninstall" it? Tried a couple of ways, but it still runs when I open Safari. Would appreciate some feedback on this!
