Type: CommentsDate: 25 Mar 2008 20:07Umm, your reply is telling me how to select a batch of items in the Finder, which I know how to do. What your reply does not address is that a selection ("batch") of files that are dragged from a Finder window to BatchSpot'em FAILS TO WORK.

Type: CommentsDate: 23 Mar 2008 16:08Because SpotLight pretty much sucks. By default, it is set to not search certain areas. And because it relies upon a database that must be constantly updated, there's always a chance that the updated indexing/cataloging has yet to happen at the moment of the initiation of your search, resulting in it telling you a file does not exist when you damm well know it does. Not to mention the fact that the index/catalog database itself can become damaged and therefore returns incomplete & incorrect results.

Type: CommentsDate: 12 Mar 2008 14:29The developer of PopChar has become greedy. $40 is way overpriced, and this is for a two-year license... After that time, you have to pay MORE or else the software is disabled!

Type: CommentsDate: 27 Feb 2008 23:39Ummm, you're wrong. Do some research before making a comment like this. The developer's blog goes into great detail about compatibility and what is "allowed".

Type: ReviewDate: 24 Feb 2008 02:09I'm astounded that you apparently CANNOT drag a selection of files into the window of BatchSpot'em -- instead, you are forced to manually add each item to a list. The inability to drag a "batch" of files into this program is a serious drawback in terms of ease of use and efficiency.
Please correct me if you find my statement to be erroneous.

The description of this product says "Plug-in manager for Tiger and Leopard."
This is NOT true anymore. The detailed description of this product now states it REQUIRES Mac OS 10.5.x Leopard. Please change the description in the title area.
Thanks.

Type: CommentsDate: 6 Jan 2008 02:43Well, they play, but not "perfectly." My 1080i video from my Sanyo is slow and stuttered. But this is a step in the right direction. I really hope Apple steps up and fixes QuickTime -- version 1.6.1 of QT apparently had the capability to decode and play this type of video, but later versions of QT cannot.

"Phase One has blown their nasty version 4.0"
thanks.

Type: CommentsDate: 9 Dec 2007 16:41Why doesn't Adobe's CS3 "Adobe Updater" application (in the Utilities folder) see this as an update that should be automatically downloaded and installed? The preferences for Adobe Updater are set to include every possible component of the CS3 family. I have version 4.2 of the Plug-in; the Adobe Updater fails to locate and recommend this 4.3.1 update.

Type: ReviewDate: 18 Nov 2007 03:41SafariPlus 1.5.1 works beautifully with System 10.4.10 and Safari 2.0.4. A great time-saver!
SafariPlus 1.5.1 fails with System 10.4.11 and Safari 2.0.4 -- Safari will crash @ launch.
SafariPlus 1.6a1 fails with System 10.4.11 and Safari 2.0.4 -- Safari will launch fine. However, while SafariPlus is chooseable off the "Safari" menu, its checkboxes for cookies don't check or uncheck, and soon the window becomes unresponsive and Safari will crash.
I am not using Safari 3.0.4 because there are several SIMBL plugins that I really like, and apparently version 3 of Safari will not work at all if the SIMBL subsystem is loaded. Too bad, but I don't see a whole lot of advantages to Safari 3 anyway.

Type: CommentsDate: 15 Nov 2007 19:53Fails to work on items that require a system password (which is necessary for most of the commands offered in this program.) Probably crapping out because I chose to have NO password at all when I installed Leopard -- yes, this is a choice during install; it's just in a "hidden" screen.
LCC brings up the authorization window, but it is filled with gibberish, and even if I type in my correct username, leaving the password field blank, I'm told that the information entered is incorrect.
Please fix this!

Type: CommentsDate: 13 Nov 2007 23:33Wait a second -- I thought the Finder in Leopard SPECIFICALLY fixed the ridiculous refresh problems of previous OS's, thus completely removing the necessity for this program. Am I mistaken?

Type: CommentsDate: 12 Nov 2007 01:00Wow -- the "first" version 2.3 was posted in the early afternoon of 11-11-07, and it tallied 919,642 bytes.
Now here we are 9 hours later, and the "second" version 2.3 is now posted, weighing in at 381,317 bytes.
Are we talking incredibly careless/sloppy programming here? Why the huge difference in file sizes, and why no change in the version number?

Type: CommentsDate: 29 Oct 2007 21:13I bought this and find it useful, stable, and intuitive. No corruption of directories, decent speed.
Let it be known however, that the copy protection used by this program is such that you will NOT be able to uninstall on one Mac and reinstall on a different one -- the phone-home checking & serial number attached-to-original-hardware effectively makes this impossible. The author will rarely grant a request to move this software to another Mac, for whatever reason. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this point.
Finally, the state of affairs with Service Providers (many of you probably have heard about the recent ComCast news) is bad, and getting worse. Programs like Xtorrent cannot work effectively, or at all, if the provider is playing nasty tricks with upstream traffic. Unless WE the public make a really big stink about torrent "throttling", and soon, the whole torrent scene will shrivel and die. Not a good thing, IMHO.

Type: CommentsDate: 3 Sep 2007 14:11Because the Finder is pitiful when it comes to accuracy -- it fails to visually indicate changes made to files and folders within an open Finder window. Go ahead and see for yourself; drag some files from the desktop to a folder sitting within a open Finder window -- the date modified does not change, the calculated size does not change. And when you save a file from within an application into an open Finder window you get similar results. Apple continues to ignore this critical issue, and thus kludges like "Refresh Finder" have come about as a workaround.
